What is a blue 2003 Marauder worth? Has gray interior, 7,700 miles on it, and supposed to be mint except for a bumper and one door ding. :help: Your opinion is appretiated. I have a line on this car and want to buy it, being my first Marauder its the color I want. :D

Oh yea I can get it for 16,000.

IMO 24,000 would be on the high end of what you should look to pay with 20,000 on the low end. I'd be going for the middle with $22,000. But I all has to do with what your willing to spend.

Edit: $16,000 for any color Marauder is a great deal, so why isnt it yours yet?

Aren't the blue ones worth double? :)

Seriously, I think the above numbers are pretty good.

It didn't seem like blue commanded any premium when we bought our 6 months ago.

However, with so few of them finding one at all can take some patience... if you care about the car (duh), my advice would be to pick the best car you can find and don't worry about getting the "best" deal. That being said, I think its always easier to find a home for money than it is to find a home for a car, so it should be a buyer's market.

Its hard to part with money, but I think most of us would be happier with the best car and a good deal than a good car and the best deal.

Hope things work out... in addition to explaining to everybody that's never heard of an MM what it is you'll also get to explain to those that have heard of the car that they really did make blue ones!

fairlane347,
For an '03 MM Blue with 7700 miles on it, $16,000 is a STEAL -- Buy it, BUT .... Run it thru CARFAX and try to get someone here to run the VIN thru the FORD OASIS system to get warranty info of what has been done in the car's short life.

If it is the one I'm thinking of , it is in Iowa, has a salvage title and Ford's warranty is cancelled. I saw the ad for it in the Auto trader.

Was either totaled in an accident or flood.. Wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. You're asking for trouble.

Cut a check and pick up the car immediately unless it is the one that others have mentioned. Then you are on your own.

fairlane347,
OK inquiring minds here need to know what kind of Blue MM you have stumbled upon and what is its VIN? Pls share the info with us so that we can advise you as best we can, seriously. This site is the BEST on the Net, anywhere for car stuff, bar none!!!

The people here will NOT buy this car out from under you, provided you are straight up & honest with us.

I certainly will not try to acquire a 3rd MM!!!! The garage here is overflowing and my Vette is hibernating at my dad's! Ugh.

16K for a blue marauder (or any color) with less than 8k miles is not a credible price. A seller could get more by simply taking it to a dealer, so in short somethings wrong with it or the seller is not credible.... also this post does not seem credible either, I will post the next one... Good Deal??? 2003 Mustang Cobra 8,000 miles for $14,300 it has one ding though... come on!

I would be really skeptical on $16K. This deal sounds TOO GOOD to be true. The tax man just charged me personal property taxes based on an assessed value of $21,375 for an '03 Blue MM. I believe our county ties into NADA book for their assessments. My Blue has 14,000 miles. Something is fishy here, so as others have said clearly .... run this one to ground on CarFax and the OASIS database. If it is clean (which I doubt) ..... jump on it !!!!!!

P.S. I am adding a 33% markup on my Blue for rarity and $75 for SS Inserts + S&H.
P.P.S. That gray interior is really Light Flint. :D

I talked to a guy there and he said it was a stolen recovery with the bumpers removed. I got the VIN, ran the OASIS, and saw that the warranty was cancelled. Build date is 2/7/03 and the Start date is 7/30/03. No service repair history.

Just my .02 and then some.

They wouldn't total a car for just the bumpers missing. There had to be more damage than that. It takes 80% of resale value to total a car. This means it would have had at least $17,000.00 worth of damage.

Could be that those bumpers were removed by the guardrail or tree device in a violent manner?? :D

They were removed to put the car in the container for shipment to never never land.

Brian,

I knew you'd smoke it out.

Still for $16K. (asking?)

If it wasn't a twisted burned wreck and you want to mod the car, not worry about warranty. Keep it for a several years, this might just be the perfect set of wheels.

I just bought one last month after looking everywhere for 18,600 with 30000 and that was about 2500.00 less than allthe used ones the dealers had. sound good if it hasnt been in any trouble.

fairlane - I agree it sounds too good to be true. I would also stay away from it if it has a salvage title or was a flood vehicle. Good luck.

My conscience kicks in when it comes to altered titles. Even if the car is not damaged at all, it isn't worth much in the long run.
