Well, I will be the first to admit that with all of Hell Boy's new found power, he may need some help in the traction department. So, we got some Mickey Thompson slicks (28x10.5) and mounted 'em up on some Bogart Drag Lite wheels. I think this combo will work well, plus they just look so damn cool!!

What do you guys think?

Oh yesh, I almost forgot to share with you pics of the fitment being done on the front shock/coil over combo. I will let you know how they work out. But, given how well my friends at Naake Motorsports have been treating me, I have very high expectations.

Here is a little eye candy for ya:

Those are just for the track, yes? Gonna keep the wide MM wheels?

Oh, and not to sidetrack the thread, but is the car called "Hell Boy" or "Legal Knevil" or is Marty "Legal Knevil" or "Hell Boy" or is the car "Legal Knevil" and Marty "Hell Boy" or is... [gasp] ... you get what I am asking!

Legal Knevil is the car's name, but HELL BOY is the car's indian name, so dubbed because of the sound it makes.

IMO, that is.

Tires and wheels look real good on the car. FYI, I just got wind of the possibility of a 9 second SS that's supposed to be there (SSHS4) on another site I belong to. I'll try to come up with more details.

Well "Hell-Boy" won't be hittin any "9s"....unless we take out the A/C, power steering, interior, yada, yada, yada, and trailer "him" to the track.

I knew that. From my personal experience, I ran my best time down at Huntsville when I was paired off with this 6 sec. Chevelle (1/8 mi.). I believe I got caught in his vortex and was pulled a whole tenth quicker!

These are DOT street legal...(AKA CHEATER SLICKS), but one would be insane to street run them with a car of this weight.

Mine shimmy at 100 mph, Marty's gonna need 4 hands to hold onto that cat by the 1000 foot mark.

The tires truley hook though....I love them....under 100 mph!

Actually Barry, I think I went with different tires than you. These are true slicks and are definitely not for road use. They have no tread at all as compared to the cheater clicks that you have.

Either way, like you said, I have a funny feeling I will be holding on real tight the whole time!!!

I couldn't see the rest of the imprint on the tire....you are correct sir. I have the ET's. Yours do look like the Avenger, which has absolutely no tread.

Your first run WILL be interesting. Please be carefull when you feel the rear float and move. It almost feels as if you are hydro-planing. The only only solution is to have a set of equally made 'bias-ply' tires in the front as well.

There is something about the radials and bias-ply matching that causes the car to become unstable at high speeds.

Since you have gone all out on this build, perhaps when it comes down to setting the new Marauder land-speed record, you may want to invest in fronts as well to make the track experience truley enriching, and safe as well.

My first high speed pass will be in the passenger seat. I don't claim to be the expert. That's what Shankin (a member here) is for!

Hmmmmm.....skinny front tires......checking overdrawn bank account........ :P
