It all started with a totalled Windstar...
The Wife wasn't too thrilled when I suggested a Marauder, but I think she's coming around.
I was just so tired of the minivan thing, and I don't do trucks.
We found a like-new Blue '03 at Citrus L/M in Ontario, Ca. and all thoughts about the new DTR '04 we checked out yesterday just vanished. I hope I don't regret getting an '03 instead of the '04 (don't think I will), but once I laid eyes on Blue, it was all over. :-) Guess I'll have to find my own jacket on ebay or something.
The car, as I said, looks like new with 16K miles. Not a ding anywhere on it.
The interior is dark charcoal on the dash, doors, and carpet, with flint seats and headliner. Nice combination. It has the CD changer and heated seats.
The dealer mentioned that the PO had two Marauders, the blue one, and a black one, and one had to go. I woulda kept the blue one, but I'm happy for me that he chose to keep the black.
Wonder if the PO is on this board? It'd be cool to get some history...
Cheers,
Jeff Cook

You made the right decision on the blue. There were only 328 blue MMs made. You have a very rare car. Enjoy your new car. It will put more of grin on your face then any minivan could.

Welcome! I'm down the I-5 in San Diego. Did you go to Fun Ford Weekend in Fontana at the Speedway last weekend? I was there Saturday 15 Oct. Will pm with my point of contact info in case you're ever in the area. Nice to have one of the only 328 Blue MMs ever built. We are the rarest of the rare. -kjs-

No accounting for taste, I guess... :-)

Really,
That's pretty funny.
The only problem with blue is that it's kind of hard to say it wasn't you driveing down the street. 'It must have been some other Blue Marauder.' Sure , right.

Holy Mustang Collection!
Those 510s have quite a history too.
I think you'll be surprised at how much attention the Marauder attracts, and just how much you can fit in that spare room out back called the trunk.
It combines the best of Mustangs with whatever minivans offer.
No minivans. Never! Gimmee the 300hp option!
Enjoy your blue, and stick around... this site is fantastic.

I am the previous owner of your blue Marauder. The car has an interesting history. My e-mail is k.helfer@verizon.net. I would be more than happy to discuss the car with you. (But I'm keeping the jacket!!) Also, I have the Marauder floor mats if you are interested.
I only recently discovered this site; the wealth of information is invaluable.
FYI, the main reason I sold the blue one is that I had to make room for a classic Chevy that I recently aquired; a 1968 Impala SS427.
Enjoy the blue Marauder!!

 :banana2:Kinda of went through the same thing myself. Wife took her vehicle (2004 Maxima) in for a recall and while she was there talked to a sales type who said he could give her a good deal, and gave her the website for the dealership. I went on and they had a 2003 MM. I took one look and thought I had found Nirvana! But too late, they had already sold the car.
But I was not to be outdone. I went on the web (Autobytel) and started searching. First 50 miles, then 100 miles, then 200, then 300 miles. When I reached 300 miles about a dozen MM's showed up. The one I picked and bought this past Friday was a black MM with 13,719 miles on it. The lowest one of all the ones that showed up. I did a lot of homework and visited this site prior to my purchase. I am happy to be a MM owner, proud to be on this site, and proud to have some American muscle.

JACook,
Congrats on a super choice/color!!!
My wife does not do minivans or SUVs. No real need for a truck.
Since we are CAR people, guess what she said to me? `This is a no brainer, let's get another MM!!!!!' See my sig. below!

Similiar story here- I'd been wanting a MM reeeeeeely bad since they were introduced. Went to the Mercury website in '02 and ordered the free DVD. Then watched them for two years. Then went online again last month looking for one to buy and after checking out most MMs within 200 miles, I latched onto a perfect used '04 with 8900 miles on it located 250 miles away. That was 33 days ago and now it has over 11,800 miles on it and every mile I've logged has been a real joy. This car comprises the perfect combination of Ford's best components! Plus, it comes with this priceless website! (THANKS Logan!)
Welcome, and enjoy the ride!

That is my recollection also. I am a little fuzzy on last week but last year I am all over. Welcome Jeff. I know they only made a few Blues and some have been abused beyond recognition but we seem to have a lot of Blues and they have to be the most represented percentage wise on the forums. Dennis:beer:

Don't I wish. Naw, someone just resurrected my intro thread from 2004 is all. :)
Anyways, right now I got more cars than places to put 'em, so not gonna be any more MMs
joining the family anytime soon. And besides, Blue still needs that Trilogy... ;)

Old thread alert !! I couldn't resist resurecting this again (and besides, it'll trip an e-mail to members not visiting for a while). This is why when I'm in Zack's neighborhood I really get on it.. Some other Blue, yea, sure, right.
