Well, I was all psyched about going in my heads cams crown vic. Unfortunately it doesnt look like she will be ready in time. A few months back I hit 13.97 all motor in my 2v 02, and then a couple of days later the #3 sparkplug exited the head in spectacular fashion, taking all the sparkplug threads from the head, and also the Coil on plug with it.

Also, I had been looking forward to the shootout for 2 reasons, I wanted to meet a bunch of guys from the marauder community (and see legal kenival), and also I somehow tricked a really special lady into going with me :D so I was looking forward to spending time with her.

This brings us to the problem. Instead of Helicoiling the head (because i plan on going forced induction soon, and helicoils can wreak havok with tuning issues), I bought a set of patriot performance ported and polished stage 3 heads. The flow numbers were exactly what my fox-lakes were, but they were 700 bucks cheaper.

Well I left the heads with the shop my car is at and they installed the heads with my comp cams, and had clearance issues up the wazoo with the head. They disassembled it, magnafluxed it, and the head is warped slightly AND cracked. Patriot was very good about it though, and are shipping a new set out ASAP. Unfortunately they probably wont get there in time to have the car ready for the shootout. :bigcry:

Just walk up to any Marauder owner there....you'll be welcomed with true hospitality (and...uh.....best to keep your cute chick away from Marty...he might offer to take her to "Waffle House")

That pretty much exceeds all other plans or manipulations I might have had for that week.:(

Duncan, don't be confused. If all my trips to the ATL have taught me nothing else I have certainly learned that every man in the South calls his significant other "Momma". At first it scared me, but when I saw Todd doing it too, I figured it was okay.
