Re-paint

:( I took my car to the dealer this mourning to see what they say about the paint , or should I say lack of paint, problem. I went with information from the members here about the poor paint quality on the 03 MM's,which they seemed uninterested to here about, and reluctantly accepted to evaluate my car. I KNOW you are all tired of questions about paint/re-paint but I would like to find out HOW MANY have sucsessfully had paint/re-paint done under warranty.I have searched thruogh many threads but was unable to establish HOW MANY have had re-paints.

I've had my hood repainted.

Had the whole car repainted. Was feeling sorry for myself because of a hail storm this spring. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise. My 04 has looked better than ever, ever since.:D

BigDogJim has his car entirely repainted after like 6 months of battling with dealers and Ford.

I had one door repainted under warranty...:o

I had the rear passenger door repainted because of massive orange peel. what a hassle that was. :mad: over spray, tape marks on the roof. it looked like a skunk stripe. then me and the dealer had some words :argue:

Entire car taken apart and repainted...under warranty.

Yes My Marauder was re-painted by Haldeman Ford of Mercerville, New Jersey:)

Total cost about $8,200. took about 5 weeks.

Like Somkie said they took the entire car apart:mad:

I went back and forth with the selling L&M dealer for months:mad: :mad:


Just go to the Service Manager and ask for a meeting with the Zone Rep.

Keep calm. Keep your wits about you.

Wite everything down, keep notes. People, places,conversation, etc.
