Here is the new tuner by SCT it replaces the SCT 9100

This is a lot smaller still has all the features of the 9100 including the optional tuner cable, the cost of this is also less than the 9100, so if you have any questions please give me a call. This tuner will also do all 05 EEC that do not have the service port, as all Ford Lincoln Mercury are now going to.

It works exactly as the SCT 9100 and the SC 1705, this first edition does not have a digital display the old 9100 had, but it does the exact same thing it can hold three seperate programs plus the stock read, its smaller and again you can buy the tuner cable so for those of you that have the 9100 there fine this is just another version of a hand held flasher, only it does all EEC 5 and newr PTEC type EEC's

I read on their website that it also does the Lincoln LS. Does it lock itself onto one vehicle? That's the only reason I haven't bought a tuner yet.

Yes it will do any late model Ford/Lincoln/Mercury and yes it vin locks it to the vehicle being tuned, all tuners sold are like this.

Dennis, I thought I understood the SCT could be used as a scan tool as well.
Not having a display, how does the Excalibrator do this? Or does it?

I have the SCMT-1725, and it has the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) display built-in, can the new SCT Excalibrator read and erase all DTC's ?

As I novice to all of this specialized tuning I sure would like to understand what these devices do.
Is there any written resource I could read to explain these items?
