I thought this would be a valuable tool for all of the Illinois members who are looking at getting a Mercury Marauder or who are curious about warranty issues, and about best local prices. Dealers that you have visited, best price quotes, issues with aftermarket additions voiding warranties, and who accepts/Installs them would all be much appreciated in this thread. :help:

Got mine early (end of June) from Perillo L/M on Diversey Parkway in Chicago. Ask for Kevin Daly in Sales Dept. Not the biggest but they turn a LOT of L/M's. Usually have one or two MM's in stock and move the ones they get quickly. Out the door $'s will be VERY competitive.

I tossed all my notes that I made during my recent search, but every dealer I talked to was well below invoice and they were all within a couple hundred $ of each other by the time the dust settled. Paid just over $28k for a 300A.

I went with my local dealer, Rizza LM, because it's just easier for me to do business locally and establish a decent service relationship with the place where I bought the car. Their service manager seemed pretty reasonable when I discussed aftermarket mods. He just wants to be kept in the loop as I add stuff so he's not left scratching his head when (if) I have a problem.

I made some courtesy phone calls to a couple of other salespeople that had been cool with me, and every one of them said that they would probably have gone right to $28k if I had pushed harder but that was about the limit.
