Tom,
Mark Clayton is the Internet sales manager and he quoted me that price in an e-mail. I dont think the price was exclusive for me. I'm sure they just want to unload them. Earlier in the day he quoted me 25,995. Seven hrs later they dropped to 22k. Hope this helps.

Indeed. I called them Saturday morning and that's the price quoted if using Ford Credit to finance. I put on reserve an 04 Silver Birch with Light Flint and all the options. Even with the cost of shipping it to me, the total is quite low :)

Now I just need to sell my 2002 GM LSE! :(

How much is shipping from the dealer?

Rick-n-Miami
11-08-2004, 06:42 AM
Basic *insured* shipping was $1k to Miami (door-to-door). I opted for the covered trailer shipping option which is $1.6k. I'd rather not have the car exposed to the elements en route.

This is the dealership down in Texas, right? Gosh, I wish the timing were better. Finally get hired on full time with the company I have been contracting for and find out there is a new baby on the way. With those prices, there is no way there might be one sitting around in the spring next year.

Darn it!!!

Ya, well I remember back in 1987 when the Grand Nationals were being "dumped" by the dealers, too. Now you can't touch a low mile example for under $20,000.00 They are so sweet. I had one, shouldn't have sold it. It was crazy fast, black and beautiful. What a machine. And the GNX? Darth Vadars original staff car. What a beast. Kinda like SC'D MM status.

The MM's are destined for the same fate. Wait awhile, you'll see. Next spring when the entire new car inventory has been dumped they'll be a sudden resurgence of interest. Prices woill go up. Hey, people love our cars - here's an indication - I've been looking for a 74 BMW 2002 Tii to purchase. Saturday I found a beautiful one at a specialty car dealership in Cohassett. The MM was parked and while I was talking to the salsman about the Tii a group from the dealership gathered around the MM oooohing and ahhhing it. They were all saying that you can't find any more new MM's and man, what an awesome car, blah, blah, blah. Stuff that legends are made of. People will ache for these cars in a couple years. Mark my words.

Paul - I'm down on the South Shore near Plymouth (East Bridgewater)

That M6 is absolutely stunning. It should be in a museum; it's a work of art. The new Bimmers are absolutely pathetic in design. I just missed buying an 87 M6 a few years ago. I've always lusted after those cars. Just beautiful. I had an 87 535IS for about 6 years. Rock solid, great ride. Got 265,000 miles out of it. Basically trouble-free. Loved it. The Tii is in terrific shape. Total restore and new paint three years ago. Black and funky. Going back this weekend to further inspect/try to deal. He wants 6K right now. It's been sitting for a few months. Trying to get it for 4K. We shall see.

Be well.

Call them up and start talking with them. They can put a $100 charge on your credit card to reserve the car. This will tie it up for at least a week if you wanted. If the deal falls through, you lose $100, but if it doesn't, you saved the car you really wanted.

The sales person I dealt with is James Haley. He's sort of new, so doesn't know the ropes real well, but he did help me. Of course, I do not yet have the car, so I can't vouch that it's in one piece, etc.

well i am almost there... I put down a deposit on a MM today.

I called up NPLM and told them I wanted to put a deposit down on their last 04 black/charcoal 22995 no moonroof. 15 mins later they called back and said someone had just sold that car before they got my deposit...

but they had one last black/charocal left. it had the moonroof, spoiler, and window tint. $23.9. so i got the deposit in on that one.

he told me it also has a sliver pin stripe... i dunno if i am going to like that, guess ill have to see it. If i dont like it hopefully it is just the tape on kind i can peel off.

I am supposed to pick it up Nov 29. That is the day I was told "worst case scenario" i'd have the $$ for selling my bike.

if all goes well ill be doin this soon....

Maybe if the crack security team didnt take 15 mins to decide the buttons on a 80 yr old ladies clothes were the reason that the metal detector was going off, id have made it. :) anyway I caught the next one.

I got to San Antonio and North Park Lincoln Mercury... all went smoothly. I have no complaints. I drove home my 04 black charcoal MM.. it is awesome! I am really happy with it even stock. Maybe because my last car had 90hp... :)

The salesman at NPLM said people were practically getting in fist fights trying to get this car since it was the last black one they had. Luckily for me I had a deposit on it and North Park honored that instead of selling it out from under me to someone that may have paid cash on the spot.

If any of you are considering and 04 from North Park you'd better hurry. The way they were talking they had even less than the 10 listed on the website.

They hooked me up in the finance dept too. I got a better rate by joining a credit union down there for $5 and not going through Ford.

I couldnt be happier... unless they threw in a free supercharger, but that didnt happen. :)
