I was wondering what everyone is paying for the 4:10 gears.

I paid $199 for the gears, $100 in misc. gaskets and stuff, and about $350 for installation

Not as bad as I thought. I have a little one on the way, so I have to get the "toys for the Marauder" buying out of the way!

I paid $140 for the gears and $175 for installation. Ford gears by the way.

I was quoted $400-$450 ford gears included from a local mustang
oriented speed shop.

I'm still waffling on what mods and in what order. :(

tetsu, Dealer cost on 4.10's from ford motorsport is $179.00, List price is $339. I've seen speed shops try and charge $400 too... Ridiculous...

Anyway, I can tell you, out of everything currently available, gears and a chip are the best bang for the buck.

Logan, Did you ever find out why your speedo was off after you put in the 410's. I know the new chip corrects this but would still like to know what the fix was ???

Also- tried the better mud-flaps for Grand Mar.and the front ones work ok but the rear are just a little off shape on the top---I will see if they are going to make one for the 03MM

I'm still waiting on my backordered trim pieces to come in before I head down there...

I will sell the gears to the club for club members only for 170.00 plus shipping, there should be no bearings required so dont let them tell you otherwise, the cover is sealed with RTV so all is needed is gear oil and limited slip additive. Some of you have been way over charged

I can tell everyone here...Dennis shipped my order today for chip, etc. and I'm looking forward to my install on Saturday. What a GREAT guy to work with and if you haven't dealt or ordered from hime yet...your crazy.

I hope to report on my NEW Marauder after I take it for a spin on Saturday.

Thanks again Dennis!

Their quote was inclusive of everything. Installation etc.

I'm not entirely sure that I'm going to go with them though.

After reading a bit on the work involved, I've been considering just
buying gears from Dennis and putting them in myself. No Ford shop in
my area will touch it. They are afraid of me suing them when Ford
voids the powertrain warranty.

Logan, I think you are in a unique situation with your dealership. From
the word on the street Ford is looking for any excuse to weasel out of
Warranty expenses. If you believe BON, they may even be using their
own subsidiaries as a mechanism to accomplish this as a profit center.

Johnny THEY ARE DOING THIS AT OTHER DEALERSHIPS I HAVE SOLD GEARS HERE IN FLORIDA TO THREE DEALERSHIPS THERE IS NO REASON to invalidate the warranty

My dealership isn't unusual. I can think of 3 other dealerships here in DFW that I wouldn't have any problems with...

Jonny, I found that the FORD Motorsport(pick the one that sells more Cobra's) dealers were most willing to do anything for me. They said they do it all the time, putting in different gears, however it's more costly to do it thru them.
They were so excited to see my new 03MM, they put it in the shop and invited all the mechanics to see it and check it out. Loved the ooo's & aaah's. Also you can find the FORD 410 gears in Mustangs & Fast Fords magazine for X$$$s, however it's worth it to get them from Dennis R.as he has gotten us all the info. and put his expertise on the line for us.
