We know that SSHS4 was supposed to be the last one, but check SSHS4.com now. Maybe we could help convince GaSSit to continue the tradition. If they are planning to quit because it's too much work, maybe some of us could pitch in to help out a bit. It was a very successful event and I would hate to see it go away.

I'm there.

Sounds like it may be somewhere else...but I'll still attend.

I'll check out the site.

See you next year!

Well, Stumpy (Glen) approached me about helping set up something at Englishtown in New Jersey. I would be up for one anywhere in the Eastern side of the Country. Hopefully the Cheby guys will check in here and see that we are willing to go and help out too.

I would like to see another shootout. By then I would be better at this. But really I thought thier would be a bigger turnout. I was figuring on the stands to be at least half full.

A few points I would like to make. I did here from some people at the track as I walked around that they too thought it be a bigger turnout. And a few said that they left ealier because of it. And IMHO thier didnt seem much intrest from looking at the chevy forum after words. Just my opinion.

But here is where the problem is and here where I think it can be fixed. No dissprect to our host. Very well done!!!!! The event needs to be at one location to have its base set. Get a good foundation before it goes on the road to other locations. And make it a set date. Every year. SO thier is no doubt about it. Its like our MM gathering. We cant have a place where everyone will be happy. Just not realistic. But this type of event has the potential to be awsome.

My Idea. Keep it the current location. Make it a Spring shootout. And set it up for a 3 day event. Set. And maybe have a few dragster for exibition. I have more but I need to get into contact with our host. And some MM members.

Sorry to carry on, just found something I think I can put my limited college to good use.

Back to topic. I WOULD LUV TO GO NEXT YEAR!!!

I too am looking forward to the SSHS5. I spent nearly the whole of 2004 getting the MM ready for the event. I had hoped for a 14.2 with my modest mods and was very pleased to get a 14.00. My Winter mods include the JLT CAI and the electric water pump which will put me in the 300+ HP area. I am also going to obtain a set of drag radials on a set of MM rims. The OEM tires even at my power level can not hold traction. I am shooting for 13.8 for Class B in 2005. See you next year hopefully at ATL.

As most of you know- I had the time of my life as a first timer at the most recent event---and my car was very strong---with a few additions and practice I hope to be in the 12's for sure...and would love to be in another --hopefully in the S.E.--will be looking forward to seeing it again .....Tom

Looks like sshs4.com is history, but the website for sshs5.com is under construction!

http://newengland-motorsports.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6242 A conversation with one of the "wheels" at the event. It don't look like a done deal, maybe some college guy here (won't mention any names of certian folks in Cleveland TN) could help.
