I was wondering if removing the stock front sway bar would help in drag racing with our cars ?

I will join a drag racing competition on the 18th of November, I will lower my car 3" with Eibach front springs, and I was thinking if I should remove the front sway bar at the same time,

Thanks,

Well, that's surely going to give you some lift on launch and weight transfer to the rear will improve too. But, considering the length of the car, I'm not sure if you will see any real benefit. Are you going to keep it off full time?

I want to remove it for one day only,

the front will be lowered 3 inch and the rear around 2.5 inch,

my suspension mods are Edelbrock IAS shocks and rear 21mm sway sar with ENS bushings & endlinks.

I will run on 255/50 R16 Drag Radials (26/9.5 R16).

Yes, Temporary ONLY!!!
My buddy removed the front sway bar on his '88 Mustang 5.0 for drag racing and on the way home he almost wrecked on an exit ramp....car would NOT handle at all without the front sway bar!

P.S. I like the ride...any car BIGGER than a MM that can run mid 14s is cool in my book!

Yes it will allow for weight transfer to the rear wheels, but I would reinstall it for daily driving
