View Full Version : Will my new grill mod help my 1/4 mile times?

Need to shave .052 second to break under 14 seconds. What do you think? Less wind resistance!! May have been a Red tailed Hawk eating roadkill, as there are many around the area. Now I just have to find a local strip that's still open. Too bad that this didn't happen on way up to Milan Dragway, instead of on the way home. :burnout: (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/misc.php?do=getsmilies&wysiwyg=0&forumid=25#)

You should have done a before/after weighing of the vehicle.
Losing the plastic in the grill, cutting weight, may be the ticket to gaining that time!

A little more to the right and you would've had the cheapest badgeless grill on the site.

I think you will have to add more feathers to get her off the ground. Fly like an eagle.

I think I've located the reason for all the shouting. That's what I get for washing Barb's Aviator. Sorry about your poor grill.

BINGO!! We have a Winner!!!!!!
Because he hit the grill hard enough, that something bent one of the horns, bent up some fins on the cooler, but no further damage. Grill must've kept him from staying under hood. Still pulling feathers out of front end.

Need to shave .052 second to break under 14 seconds. What do you think? Less wind resistance!! It's an old drag racers' trick, to block off the grille! If this was avoidable then you've violated the endangered species act. :o
Seriously, you can tape off the grille with that clear packing tape and I'll bet you get that .052, probably more. :D
