Can anyone tell me if we have RCA jacks on the back of our factory stereo?

Also, if the sub is 100 watts, does the signal feed the amp and then directly to the sub or does the 100 watt amp feed to all 4 interior speakers too?

Thanks in advance.

Here is a pic of the OEM radio (no rca jacks):

The sub get it's signal from the headunit, obviously, and is powered by the amp mounted to it in the trunk. The other four speakers are powered by the headunit.

Wow! That was a fast response!

Do you know how many watts per channel the factory head unit puts out to each interior speaker?

I'm upgrading to Infinity Reference speakers this week. Trying to figure out if it is worth installing my old 4 channel amp. It would give me 50w per speaker for a total of 200w in the cabin + the 100w at the factory sub.

I would recommend installing the amp since you already have it. I have a five channel amp sending 50 watts per channel to my Boston Acoustics 5"x7" interior speakers and 150W to a 12" sub. It sounds pretty good, although I will be adding another sub shortly as the bass is still lacking.

Initially, I just installed the Bostons with the stock system and there was an improvement. However, it never seemed like it had enough power to get the most of out of the speakers.

Or run the quarter mile in his N/A Marauder. The tower guy thought he was S/C'd running in the low 13's. :D

Dan....your'e gonna have to listen to these guys regarding amps and such. I really don't do much with stereos any longer. I changed out my speakers...but otherwise, I like the sound of the CAR more than music these days and find myself driving without the radio on frequently.

Good luck with you upgrade. 'Search' around here and you'll be surprised how much info is up on folks that did various upgrades. Search the galery as well.

No RCAs on the stock head unit. Let me know if you have any stereo questions. I just finished a 3 month custom install and I may have some tricks for you I learned on the Marauder. 2100 watts. I'll post pictures soon.
