My front suspension SQUEAKS and it drives me crazy.
Any ideas on how to fix it? Will WD40 help? If so where should I shoot it?

Directedby,
Is it possible that the squeak is from the hood latch area rather than the front suspension? You may want to raise the small bumper stops that touch the inside of the hood. Also, a little grease on the latch may help.

Thanks, I have done this. Squeaks come from the front suspension.

Let me find out what they are using at my dealership.
After every service I've had, the squeaks are gone and they usually
don't come back until its is just about time for the next service.
I don't think they are using WD-40.
It is much too light and thin for our squeaks.

Had a squeaky front end in a Town Car, and found that it was the hood was out of adjustment. Using the rubber rub points; adjusting them up slightly may be the a problem solver???

Did you READ what Directedby wrote ??

I know exactly what he is talking about.
There are three types of squeaks you can get from this vehicle.
Hood Alignment squeaks
Air Suspension squeaks
Front Suspension squeaks
Directeby and I have the Front Suspensions squeaks.
My Dealer takes care of them every time I have the Marauder serviced.

My hood latch squeeks and a dab of grease every once in awhile cures it!!
Ride down a bumpy road slowly and while it is squeeking pull the hood release....Mine stops!!
I hope that is all yours is and you don't waste a bunch of time dismanteling your front end!!! :o

Mine wasn't a squeak but rather a hollow creaking sound, when I jumped on the brakes hard at parking lot speeds. Sounded almost like a ratcheting sound, and often felt through the brake pedal.
Turns out much of the front suspension wasn't torqued anywhere near what it should have been. Front wheels were removed, and everything was inspected with a torque wrench by a technician.
Same with some of the body mounts.
So it would appear that wiring harness routing is not the only specialty at STAP...
And at a recent visit to the dealer, the hood latch adjustment trick was tried, to address a recurring hood latch squeak, resulting in a hood that sat too low up front in the middle. So the only alternative was to put the latch more or less back to the original height and lube the living bejeezus out of it with a high-temp grease (as opposed to my gobs of wheel-bearing grease that I used out of necessity, which would help for perhaps a month at a time).

Dip it, or drive it into a vat of used KFC oil. :beatnik:

Just checking. I know that you said that you did this but try again.
I had a squeak in the front end and determined the source by releasing the hood latch and rocking the car by stepping on the driver's side "running board" --I don't know what other word to use--and rocking the car. It wouldn't squeak. Once I closed the hood the squeak would come back. I did this a couple of times and the cause and effect was 100%. So I knew what the cause of the problem was.
I now use a dab of axle grease (not silicone per my dealer) every few months after the noise comes back.
Once I couldn't replicate the noise by rocking the car as I had normally did until after a few tries. I finally raised the stops a little then it went away again.
You should try again to do what I did. Because you may be trying to solve the wrong problem. Let me know what you find.
