I bought this off E-bay tell me what yall think it works fine keeps water off and keeps a nice amount of heat of of the cone:banana:

Guess the assumption is that the air directly above the cone filter is hotter than that directly below...might be true, can't see there would be too much difference. Let us know if you get any perceived benefit after installation. If so, its a small price to pay.
Adds some nice bling, too. Let us know how it works.

Stops splashes as well. This may be a good solution for some folks.

this is perfect blocks water and heat and its only a quarter of an inch shorter than the cone filter once u put it on u can't even tell the difference:coolman:

Wow! That looks PERFECT! So I just ordered a JLT intake, should I now order the "LG AIR FILTER HEAT SHIELD FORD POWER STROKE SUPER DUTY" heat shield for the JLT? That's the one you got, right? Thanks! GREAT FIND!
