Whelp, it finally got here. My new 2004 Silver Birch. :banana2:
http://www.gideonart.com/2002gmlse/meandmycar.jpg
I ordered it from North Park Lincoln Mercury in San Antonio, Texas from a Mr. James Haley. The total cost of the car, including the spoiler and 6-CD changer was just over $24k. The entire transaction went super smooth and I have no complaints.
I must say, I'm very happy with the car. It's very similar to my 2002 LSE, but it certainly has a better feel to it, not to mention the look. I figure I'll put a few miles on it before I start with the mods, but I'm sure they'll be just around the corner! :cool4:

It's a little Mercury logo. It doesn't look bad at all really. I was more disturbed at the lack of a locking fuel door than this. Actually, I kind of like the pin stripe.
And yes, I am smiling in the photo. The fact that I've never had my picture taken with a car before should tell you something. :)

yeah the car looks good. if the locking fuel door bothers you dont rush out and put on any old locking gas cap from the auto parts store. my dad did that to a zr-1 corvette once and i guess it didnt vent correctly... ran like crap... dealer couldnt figure out why... but when we put the stock cap back on all was good.

Rick, didn't you see the "Stay off the Grass" sign? I hope you enjoy your new car. I went from and 2002 V8 LS to my first Marauder too. I never missed my LS. you made the right choice of color too. Read the threads and get info as to which mods you may want to do first.

Whelp, it finally got here. My new 2004 Silver Birch. Congratulations! It's been almost a month since we adopted our Blue '03, and I haven't stopped smiling yet.
Great price, BTW. The dealers out here on the Left Coast are playing take-it-or-leave it, so when I found
this super clean blue 03, I jumped on it.
You've definitely come to the right place. :-)

Welcome to the club! :D
Don't sweat the locking door thing. They dropped it for 2004 along with the automatic parking brake release but VegasMarauder has posted two threads here with part numbers and procedures all lined out to do the two jobs and I must say very professionally too. I've done the fuel door, and posted a comment about it and am very happy with the results.
Mine has 8500 miles and I upgraded the brakes already. The Marauder is a police interceptor interceptor, and a police package brake system isn't enough in my book.Get enough whoa-nelly before you get more giddy-up, that's my advice.

I still have it, but one of the crownvic.net people has expressed serious interest in it. It should be sold by next week.
