Been thinking about an emblem or fender emblems.

Found some stuff. Thinking about the Saleen '281' on the fenders.

Yeah, I don't want it for the quarter panels....already have the custom ones our members made. I was thinking one for the engine compartment somewhere. And for $45 a piece....geez...one is all I'd ever buy.:(

I know on the Grand Marquis they have those "hockey stick emblems" located there so maybe a MM could have God's Heads. But then again I don't want to get too "gawdy";) .

First, let me say that whatever you want to put on your car, as long as you like it, I think that's great. This is >my< personal view and is not intended to be critical of anyone.

I like the look of the Saleen "281" badge, but I would not buy it because it has a Saleen logo, and there aren't any Saleen products on my car. I do have Steeda logo'd products in my engine bay, but then I have Steeda underdrives.

For this reason I wouldn't put that "panther" decal on my car -- because that particular decal is virtually identical to the the Italian wheel maker's logo, and unless I am running their wheels, I wouldn't put their logo on my car.

There are several "281" badges out there without the Saleen logo.

That might be to much, at least for me. And thats a debate around here. A GOOD debate. Badgeless or not and what to add. I agree with Donny. The Cobra looks ok but its not a Cobra. Or put a Saleen sticker or badge on. I would go for the rear Badgeless look and get rid of the Chrome around the windows but I cant do the Badgless look for the front. Too plain. Oh well just some thoughts.

Saw these two types on eBay last week. . .
I ordered a pair of the 4.6 DOHC checkered flag emblems for my new Silver Birch Marauder on Monday of this week. I think being black and silver, will look very nice on my car. And the checkered flags give it just a slight taste of "retro". I'll post a thread when I get them and will also try to post a photo of them on the car.

Do an internet search for "fender emblems". That's how I found mine and bought them from the manufacturer. They're identical to the ones you are wanting. If I can find the website, I'll post it for you.
