Driving from Indy to Detroit (11-24-04) it started to snow in Ft. Wayne and conditions got worse as I motored up I-69. I have a 04 which is 100% stock. I picked it up last November. Last winter I didn't drive it since I had another car to use. The MM is pressed into service currently as the other car is no longer.
When I got onto east bound I-94 things got real crazy, real fast. For whatever reason the MM decided it was time to get sidways in front of an 18 wheeler. The road was an ice rink to say the least. I was able to get the MM straightened out. It is not a nice feeling to look out the drivers window and see a bulldog bearing down.
The question to all is --- What wheels will fit the MM that I can put some winter shoes on. I looked at Tire Rack and they offer a Blizzak with dual sizes. Just want to get one size and be done with it. Looking to get rims and tires that I would just swap out when conditions dictate.
Will any Panther rim work? Is there a problem lurking with going to same size front and rear? Would like to do this as reasonable as possible. Thanks in advance

Your best bet is to use the 'search' utility in the control bar on this page. Search 'snow tires' and you will find everything you need to answer your question.
We have totally covered this issue over the last few winters. And as you will see, several members insist the OEM tires are just fine. You on the otherhand, have joined the majority, and found that indeed they are not.
Here is a thread on what I did. Not conventional, but cheaper than the standard.

The link above in schuvwj's post is the standard. If you can spend the money, order this package ASAP as by the first week of December, the tire rack is sold out for the season.
Get 'er done, and get 'er done quick!

When I went to the TireRack website, I entered that I have a 2004 Marauder and it selected the WS-50's for me. Then it gave me a choice of 2 steel or 6 alloy wheels.
My salesman (Kurt) was pretty confident that they would fit the Marauder and when they arrived he was proven right, so I'd say check out the threads around the MM.net site, as CruzTaker/Barry said, and then head off to TireRack.

A potential issue with Traction Control, as covered in threads elsewhere in this forum (I only know what I read in them). I decided to go the safer route and selected the same rims all round, but the larger rear tires which should keep the front:rear ratio essentially unchanged.
