Installed my JLT intake and Flowmaster 50's with Magnaflow X-Pipe. My car has a much different feel and sound to it. Throaty intake and throaty exhaust with a nice amount of power gain. NO DRONE, just a nice GROWL and GURGLE.

NBC SHOOTER (Ralph) and NAVCHAP (Keith) met me at the install - see other post.

JLT - I like this intake a lot - it is HUGE and massively sucks in the air. Install was 30 minutes. The MAF is tight to get in and needs some work. Also, I got it last night in the mail and ran downstairs to install. I was a little bit upset because I ripped out the OEM intake and then found out that I needed a longer vacuum hose. So I had to put back on the OEM and drive to pep boys to get it. It would be nice if that extra hose (6") had come with the kit - other than than I am really happy with it.

FLOWMASTER 50'S - If you are looking for a growl and gurgle with no interior drone - this is the way to go.

X-PIPE - Seems to be a nice addition - installer says it adds a few HP with mufflers and made the exhaust system balanced and might have added a litle bit more gorwl factor.

Did you hook the X-pipe to your stock manifolds??

X-Pipe is welded to OEM Cats. Yes, I used the stock manifold.

Damb, man. I'm sorry about the hose. It should have been in the kit. It normally is included, but sometimes I try to do too much and forget things. :depress:

Anyway, sounds like you did the right combo, glad your happy.

Photos don't do justice to the JLT intake with the matching color sleeve and the exhaust install on DB's MM. They are really nice upgrades, and look beautiful.

Nice work DB! -kjs-

Could you explain the 50'S. I have stage II. Thanks.

Flowmaster 50's have 3 baffles inside, 40's have 2 baffles and are louder. Flowmaster rates both the same for performance.

Thanks I want to keep it loud, but the droneing is sometimes a pain. Thanks.

In person, that intake is HUGE! I mean HUGE! That new intake's got to be doing quite a bit more than the stock intake. This is one "K&N-style" solution, I whole-heartedly endorse after seeing it! Even though, I'm (hopefully) getting maraudernkc's ProCharger kit in January, I'm DYING to put that JLT intake on my car RIGHT NOW!

Okay, I just ordered my JLT ram air intake kit from Jay Tucker over the phone. I got the throttle body-to-MAF kit, MAF adapter, and S&B Powerstack filter--I chose NOT to get the S&B Breather (which eliminates the PCV valve) based on another member's recommendation. The discount was still running and I got it all for like $130 shipped! Will have it Thursday!

As soon as they have time, I'll get a Magnaflow X-pipe, 2.5" pipe, some Magnapack glasspacks, and my SLP 3.5" double-walled tips installed at the same place DirectedBy did his. They'll also put the Metco control arms that have been sitting under my bed for months on for a reasonable price too, FINALLY.
