Way back when I sent off for the PR kit and it came back as a little DVD package with a nice letter, a fold out brochure of the 2003 Mercury Marauder Collection of shirts, jackets and bobbles and a slick 5x7 DVD folder. I've attached the personalized intro letter for your viewing pleasure. Funny thing that I hate to admit... but when got this...I had to go out and buy a DVD player. Also, and apologies in advance to the guy...but I had to chuckle about the Marauder Brand Managers name. Enjoy!!!

I never saw the original offer. Had I, I would have been all over it!

BTW: We thought about making copies, but I have to wait till monday when Jessy can bring home some media. The DVD is 37.5 GB in size. :eek:

Got one, made a copy for a member already, let me know if you need one. It took a little work because the Disk is encoded with copy proof, another reason why the MM marketing was a disaster.

Don't let anyone give someone a copy of the disk, it might cause someone to buy the car, LOL!

They wouldn't send mine to an FPO address, so my Mom had to call the 800# & after they mailed it to her at a US address, she sent it to me in Okinawa around Apr 02.

Watched it a couple of times, once during a typhoon. Cable was out, but power was working. Very entertaining and some nice history.

I had the Speedvision DVD but gave it away back in 2003. A guy at work had just bought a MM and I gave it to him. I had interest in buying a MM. Recently a gentleman gave me another copy and I was so happy to have it again. Now I have my second MM and the guy I gave my DVD to sold his MM.

I have a good one now. The 1st one I sent away for came in scratched. It would play fine in a 2003 Expedition, but would not on my P.O.S. player. Another member had 2 so, he gave me one. I gave mine to a member who had the MM but no DVD. I have no clue on whether or not he played it yet.

Barry, I didn't beat the decode, my senior clerk my it happen. He has a friend who works in a TV production studio. His dvd burner only recorded the audio. So he found someone who could get the job done.

I am going to try to make two for the folks who PM'd me. I think I'll probably have the guys make 4 or 5 just to be safe.

Great to have a superstar subordinates who know how to get things done. I can focus on my own job, because I don't have to do their work and mine too.

On topic, my slack dealership didn't have any MM's on the lot when I came in to buy mine and they ordered it from the same delership Carfixer works for. It had no CD and a Grand Marquis owners manual. :(

Well, when I was at the meet that we (The Sunshine State Marauders Club) had in Bradenton, I met Carfixer and was telling him about the owners manual and he said his parts department told him they had a bunch of Marauder CD's and owners manuals left over (?) because the salesmen had been grabbing GM manuals every time they sold a Marauder! Go figure, I always knew crooks were crooks because they are really just stupid. :P

So he told me to send him my address in a PM and he'll send me the stuff. So I did and I'm sure he'll get around to it now Thankgiving is over. :help:

He's a pretty smart guy. Fixed a guys car that wasn't shifting properly on the spot, he knows his stuff. He had a nitrous set up that had him running in the 13's, or very close to it, if memory serves. An all-around good guy that anybody would be proud to call friend. Actually, if I was a female I would've tried to steal him away from his girl 'cause I'd wanna have his baby, he's so handsome! :o

I got mine before the Marauder went on sale.

If anyone is willing to supply some help, and organization,
I own some unmentionable software, that is no longer available,
that makes archivals of DVDs for your personal investment protection ONLY.
I won't give any more details. but I can make archivals of your own discs,
just for reimburseing me for the cost of the DVD+R Media, DVD Mailer, and Postage.

Since these discs were distributed for FREE, and now are considered
by most of us to be collectible items, unless the documentation that accompanies the DVD states differently,
you should be able to make a copy for your own archival purpose.

The archival process is not a very quick process either.
It takes, on the average, about one hour to backup a 4.7GB DVD Movie,
and that is on my P4 3.4Ghz HT PC with Win XP SP2 and 2GB of DDR3200 RAM.

Please make sure your DVD Player can playback a DVD+R disc.
I will not be responsible for discs that do not playback in your own DVD Player.
I own a Toshiba SD-9200 DVD Video/Audio player and it plays most everything known to man so far.
I will not mail out any disc that does not playback in my own DVD Player.

I will let Logan make the judgment call on this.

This is NOT a CD.
It is DVD that has the entire SPEED Channel review of the Mercury Marauder on it.

It's billed as the 2003 Mercury Marauder DVD and has three segments:
1. The Legend of the Marauder
2. Test Drive: Mercury Marauder (30 minute SpeedVision segment)
3. Experience Marauder

I think I got my DVD in the summer of 2003 before I finally decided to jump into the deep end of the Marauder pool in October 2003. :D
