Driving FHP Marauders
Florida aggressive drivers beware
I just got back from Fort Lauderdale we worked on the FHP Marauders, so every one knows.
The FHP in the entire State is about to kick off of a State wide aggressive driving program, the FHP have 03 and 04 Marauders these cars have upgraded brakes and suspension and trust me they are very fast. They are going to kick off this program starting in December, if you get caught racing they can take your car, this type of driving will come to a halt.
Years ago with DUI there was somewhat of a gray zone, same thing with aggressive driving in the past. Police agencies are now going to actively enforce this. And there will be NO LEEWAY.
We got there on Friday morning and we worked all day and part of Saturday, we installed rear ADDCO sway bars and tuning, Tuesday we install KVR brake pads and Dynotech MMDS and we will be, installing real Autometer oil pressure gauges,
The FHP is going to deliver a fully loaded car for more mods, the car will be here Saturdays for our Open House. We will put this one on the dyno. We are going to install a set of 4:10's and forced lube circuit on one car. While we were there Friday, several Troopers came by and they were all taking my Blue car for test drives. They loved that!
They told me I needed to go to lunch so they could place some contraband in my car, so they could seize it! I said NOT!!!

I hope you get to celebrate your birthday properly soon. The recognition by the law enforcement higher-ups is a day late and a dollar short---let's hope other PDs get the true picture of what a great vehicle we have. Keep up the good work. Now, a personal question, I am on the net til midnite Central time and every time I check my "Buddy List" I see that you are on the net---don't you ever sleep ?? :bows: Happy Birthday !!!!

Thanks for the pictures :) I bet the bumper inserts work well as "bait". Who would expect that on an interceptor.
Happy birthday,
jta
Please tell us what those plastic covers are for that are hose clamped to the rear axle.

I'm missing something here: I thought the MM cars came with Auto Meter Oil pressure gauges already? Are these an upgrade?
Also, are these just the pads you're changing out or the whole brake assy. you guys did a group buy on not long ago?
Thanks,
Norm
BTW, I'm saving this thread and printing it out for my dealer. Look at all the mods being done to these cars and tell me it's hurting them!

The original Oil Pressure gauge is Fake, only lets you know that oil pressure is above the 5-6 lb switch setting. It is no different than a oil pressure light.
Real oil pressure requires a new sender and gauge.

I'm missing something here: I thought the MM cars came with Auto Meter Oil pressure gauges already? Are these an upgrade? The gauge that comes with the car doesn't display true pressure. It's basically an on/off "idiot" gauge that was custom built to Ford specs by Autometer. Autometer has a true pressure gauge many have upgraded to. It's not backlight but I think it's easier to read. Some have even swapped the OEM face with the "upgraded" gauge.
