Here is the delema:
One nice low mile good running 98 Cobra with mods.
One new 04 MM with no mods, 'cept that K&N.
One owner with the desire to go fast in style.
Do I:
Keep the Cobra and add minor (affordable) bolt ons to the MM, sell the mini van. Wife drives the MM. Result: two very kewl cars
Sell the Cobra, mod the :censor: out of the MM. Wife doesnt make it past the passenger seat. Result: one awsome MM.
Keep all three vehicles, no mods. :( I dont like this one, neither does the wife!
Now, we own three vehicles and dont commute. I have a company car and she works from home. We dont need this many cars around. She is not into cars and could care less about what she drives.
For the record, The van is currently for sale. I have been contemplating the sale of the Cobra and will post in the Vehicles for Sale section. I have not been very aggresive with attemptinig to sell either vehicle.
You know what they say about opinions, so whats yours?
Thanks,
Charlie

Sell the minivan. I live in a (soon to be) 4 car- 2 driver household.
The Marauder is my joy- I believe they'll bury me in this car. The Ranger is the perfect commuter vehicle (and you can haul stuff around in it). The Jaguar is the mid-life whim for an overweight soon-to-be 40 bald guy. The Tribute is Coli's ride and she loves it.
One day when we're all sitting on the steps on the Marauder old folks home, you want to look back on your life and say, 'I sold a minivan so the wife could drive a Marauder!" We'll all laugh and call you a genius...Doesn't sound too bad- Does it, Bro?

Keep them all. You never know when you may need a spare. Besides would you really want to haul lawn and garden supplies in either the Cobra or MM.

Yeah, mine too. I found her and Marauder in the same month (June 03 was the best month of my life) and she has never driven the car. She loves the local Marauder folks, Loves the people we've met on the board, she'll ride shotgun to any Marauder event I want to and she actively reports Marauder sightings but it's just not her "thing". I'll probably never be into crochet or collecting holiday decorations- we're just different that way. That being said, there are two things we agree on:
1) Elvis faked his death.
2) No minivans.
Sell that thing!!

I have kids and had a mini van. Now I have a Suburban for my wife and the MM for me. My MM is my mid-life crisis Cobra. I tried one, too impractical. I'd say if have only 2 kids nix the minivan if you have more than that sell the cobra and make the MM a cobra beater,

This is certainly do-able - as it's been done before. WAAAAY different circumstances here ... but the story does have a HAPPY ending.

Sell the mini-van and the wife and buy a Lightning to haul stuff in. :D
Just kidding, sell the mini-van and the mini-cobra and buy a Lightning that you can dog the ***** out of. (I'm 6'5" and I dislike mini-anythings)
I don't wanna find out you've got a Camry you use for long trips that you're hiding from us.
Confess your sin now and you can receive absolution from Logan, as long as you repent from your sinful ways. ;)

It sounds to me that you would get more $$ for the Cobra, and that you would need that $$ for performing a lot of Modifications to the Marauder. So i think you should sell the Cobra, and Supercharge the Marauder. That way, you'll have the Minivan for hauling things, and for your wife to drive, and Cobras and Mustangs are a dime a dozen. you see them everywhere you go. but you don't see Marauders to often. Atleast I don't where I live. And a Supercharged Marauder will be faster than your Cobra. Trust me on that. Besides all that, my opinion is that Marauders look better than Cobras anyway. Just my 2 cents.

There's a few things to plug into the equation. You sell the Cobra or the MM, you're gonna loose your a$$ on deprecation, I had a '97 Cobra, and wish it still lived here. The pre-IRS Cobra's are in IMHO the most desirable because of their bulletproof engines, especially the 97 -98's.
Since you live in Hartford Co. winter driving can't be that big an issue, and besides, the MM's the safest car in your fleet, for it's occupants, and other reasons. (the cop car factor). If you don't need the van and MUST get rid of something, it seems a no brainer. ;)

You all make excellent points. I am thinking of letting the market for each vehicle deside. Which ever sells, sells! The MM stays! Now is not a good time to be selling anyway with this being the holiday season.

Kids??? ...was going to be my question. This was the reason I went with the Marauder, INSTEAD of a Mustang. In your case, (with use of company car for odd jobs) I would definitely sell the van, (which I see you are doing). But, it sounds as though you may not need the Mustang either. I know, I know... beautiful car, heavily modded, your love... all that... But if you sell it you can heavily mod the MM. That's what I'd do.
Question: (And wifey please don't shoot me, but...) How do you feel about the wife driving around in a heavily modded MM? I mean a fast one... SC, gears, ect..?
That would be the only determining factor for me...
Just my .02.
Good luck with the decision.

My bad G!!- I had assumed the Pontiac keys would available for your use. Wow!- you really do have a problem....You may need a bumper sticker for the Marauder "My other car is a pair of Nikes".:D :D

Sell the mini-van. The word mini should only be used in one context---SKIRT--. I would be happy if all the mini-vans would suddenly be transported to some third world country :banana2:
