Well 1 dealer has a 1973 454 Vette never been sold. And another has a 427 1963 Galaxie Never been sold either. So it might just be the last 1 would never see Tarmac under its tires. But I say about 1000 or less on dealers lots.

My local M/L dealer still has an untitled 2003 with almost 4000 Miles on it. That 1 could of been mine but they wanted it more. So they can eat it as far as I'm concerned.

i know of a TX dealer with a new 03 black MM on the lot. It still shows on their webiste anyway... last time i asked about it by email i got no response...maybe it was because I told them I could get a new 04 for less, and they werent willing to counter-offer. dunno

just picked up an 04 so i dont care if they keep the 03 forever! :)

I'm working out a deal on a new MM, the dealer had 6 in stock in N.J.
on thursday, and sold 4 by saturday. I don't think they are to many out there.

i think there must be some "behind the scenes" incentives to move these cars... my salesman told me yesterday that they had 37 at the beginning of Nov now only 2 or so...their site shows 10 but i dont think it is up to date.

I just bought my 2004 last week. In the Kansas City area there was one left that I know of which was silver. It was a demo with 5000 miles. The dealership where I ended up buying mine did a search in the 500 mile radius of the Kansas City area and said there were 9. Mine was shipped in from Aurora, IL.

I could do a search at work but it isn't entirely accurate,cause as you see some dealers a slow in reporting sold units( which isn't too swift unless they are not worried about getting more inventory,I don't know if ford shares figures with GMQ or not:confused: )

FSK in Frederick had 2....I bought one a month ago...if their site says 0, then they sold the last one.

There are numerous dealers in MD with cars..During my search of local dealers I found 7 in the local DV-MD-VA area.

Plus my most local dealer offerred to get one for me so dealers must have access to them still.

Gotta Love It! :beatnik:I did an unscientific search tonight for new 2004 Marauders by visiting the inventory of 30 Lincoln-Mercury dealers (there may be more dealers) in the Chicagoland area. Here's the results:

They have a total of 24 new Marauders left at 9 dealerships. 21 dealers had no more Marauders. So they are slowly selling the last of the Marauders. My guess is that the 2004 models are selling out very slowly, maybe because of the canceled/orphan status of the car. Maybe its the premium gas issue or the 17-23 MPG rating. I don't buy the price arguement. My 2004 Marauder had a $ 36,865 list price. I just priced out a 2005 Grand Marquis Unlimited model at about $ 1,400 less! The Marauder has sooo much more for the money that this can't be a valid arguement against buying a Marauder. Plus, when I bought my MM last June, I got a total of about $ 9,600 off of list, including all the rebates. I've never had such a savings in buying cars since 1965! You have to look at real price you're paying, not just the list price. I've heard the price comparison objection raised a lot. But that is usually based on a comparison of the MM to a stripo GM. That's apples and oranges.

I venture to say the LAST brand new Marauder
(2003/2004) will leave the dealer's lot sometime
in Feb or March 2005. All will be gone by April Fool's Day 2005!

I bought my new 2004 Marauder on November 18 from a dealer in Birmingham, Alabama. They had to go halfway down the Florida peninsula to find the closest one. So none remain in Alabama, to be sure.

Two weeks ago I bought my mm in dallas tx and drove it 1632 miles back to las vegas. That's the closes place I could find with an internet serch:burnout: It was a ton of fun driving it back though, it had 230miles on it and we broke it in real good.:cool4: The place in dallas 'prestige lincoin mercury' had two more with 3500miles with a good deal attached but I wanted low milage.

I'm going to trust my old memory here--I believe the last Marauder to roll off the production line was a Silver Birch that was completed at 10:30 PM , July 26, 2004--no big publicity--no special notice. It was delivered to a Detroit Area L/M dealer, who let it be known that the car was not for sale at any price. Haven't seen any other reference since that time. Would be nice to know where it is now. Hello,just home from work and letting you know that the last Marauder rolled off the line tonight at 1015pm.
The car is silver with grey interior destined for "Jack Demmer Lincoln Mercury" in Dearborn MI.
Way to go with your cars at the plant today to guys.It's nice to see people enjoying cars as a hobbie,especially the panther platform.
Anyhow,I'm tired....have a good weekend to you all!!!!
