I swear this car is a people magnet. I brought it home last night, washed and waxed this morning, and I ahd no less than 5 neighbors stop by and say how awesome the car was. Askign how much HP, does it have a supercharger, etc, etc.
I've never had more than one or two neighbors ever stop and chat as they walked or crusied through the 'hood. One kid, well I ahd to kind of keep him back he was drooling so hard, I think he feels inferior in his 300Z...
I love this car :burnout:

Wait until you are at the gas pumps!
A kid in a ricer behind me pumping gas about broke his neck when I started her up and rapped the throttle before putting it in drive. :D
Enjoy!

Tom is right....
At yesterdays CAM Meet two guys pulled up while I was talking with 'BigDogJim' and asked WTF!!??
There were 7 Black MMs in a row and as well as 1 Blue and 1 Silver and 3 more Black MMs elsewhwere in the lot!!
They didn't know what the car was, and had never seen one, let alone a FLEET of them! :D
They were very impressed.

I swear this car is a people magnet. .... I love this car :burnout:
The CAMarauders had about 12 Marauders (10 Black, 1 Silver, and 1 Blue) at their 4 Dec meet yesterday. After festivities inside Big Bat's, the group gathered outside to chat. Several customers were looking our way wondering what was happening with all the cars and black leather jackets. I invited them over with the "We don't bite" and offered to show 'em around. As predicted, they had never heard of a Marauder much less seen one up close and personal .... Here they got to see 12. Looks like the CAMers made a few more fans and believers. :D

Drove the baby home yesterday after buying it in Sarasota, I was doing everything in my power to:
a.) keep it under a 100
b.) avoid accidents as people craned their necks to look at it. I guess I also look like a LEO so they're not sure. Had a 'kid' on a crotch rocket, haul it down from somewhere on the hairy side three digits, cause he wasn't sure, took him a few minutes to gather the courage to pass.
I can see it now, "Yes officer, I know how fast I was going.. but the car made me do it, honest"...

Not so smart of a kid... Florida States agressive driver task force is running Marauders. If you would have been one of those guys, he'd of had a hard time of it. :) http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=14455
Welcome to the club! I've been enjoying mine for a little over a year now.

if you really wanna turn some heads.... smoke your tires in a parking lot. :burnout:
last time I bought tires the tech handed me the keys with a big 'ol $h!t eating grin and said... "See ya soon!" I guess he liked the big 'ol smokey burnout I did right before I had the rear tires changed. :P

Teamrope,
Yeah I saw the FL State troopers at the local monthly car meet..... oh me oh my.... makes me wish I had stuck with the application process all those years ago. But they were heavily into AA at the time so no joy for me.
Actually I dont see the LE MMs in my area, they seem to focus on Dade (Miami) and Broward (Fort Lauderdale), I'm just north of there, but I dont use the Interstate or Turnpike for commute so chances are I wouldn't see them.
Maybe one of those little 'Police Interceptor' badges for the rear of the car.... mwuhahhaha!
PS Hope Mrs. TeamRope is doing better post chemo.

There's more than a few of us that are guilty of the itchy hood release finger. :)

If ya think that's cool,.. wait until you are parked with a dozen other Marauders. :DI hear ya! I've had people come up to me in gas stations, restaurants, stores, wherever and ask about the car.
The Carolina Marauders had a meeting and road run through the Blue Ridge Parkway a couple of weeks ago and really turned some heads. Even had one guy pull into the parking lot where we met up to get a picture. Told us he'd only heard about the MM and never seen one, much less a group of them parked together. We had 3 Blacks, a Silver, and two DTR's side by side at the time.

When I got my black 2002 Crown Victoria LX Sport the buzz was already about the "Nighthawk" and the "Marauder". I got a ton of looks and questions about the car. When I added the Bonderurant front fascia,Everyone thought it was a Marauder. Its great when the Motor City Crew shows up in force. The old cruisers here still say we look like a bunch of "Cops"but they accept us.

People still think it's a cop car....... when clean. Theres like nothing you need to add to this. Just a little tire shine makes it look brand new even when you hit over 60K like me. I still see it as a sleeper because hardly anyone my age or on the import scene knows what it is and when they know it's too late for them. :hotrice:
