Has anyone used FATMAT instead of DynoMat?

It is thinner and lighter. But I was wondering if it is as good. It is definetly less expensive.

If the reason you are doing this is to reduce the interior noise due to the Magnaflows, I've been there, done that. Taking out the interior and matting it is a PITA! I did it and guess what, the noise was as aggravating as before I started so in my opinion I wasted my time and money, and made my car heavier. I resolved my issue by removing the Mags and replacing them with Dual Mode Mufflers by Ford Racing.

That is what I wanted it for. I am actually okay with the noise but it drives the wife crazy. I guess the other option is for her not to drive in the car.

tmac1337 I know this is a sound deadener thread but at what RPM do the Dual Mode mufflers open up? I have 4:30's and when crusing I am turning around 2,500 rpm. My concern the muflers would open at crusing speeds and be too loud.

Do a search for the Dual Mode Muffler threads. All the info. you need is there. At cruising speed I do not hear mine until at about 85 MPH. At WOT, they scream. At idle they rumble with a deeper tone than when I had the Mags. As soon as you let off the pedal, the sound dissipates.

What Tim said is true, I drove his car last weekend and their is no drone and the car does have a much deeper sound & rumble to it.

tmac1337, if you ever have the opportunity, some sound files of your exhaust would be
