I guess that our cars are getting old enough now that most of the people who've had problems with this have dealt with it already, but I picked up my car from our local dealer on Fri. The body shop manager had agreed to repaint my hood after looking at some of the little white spots on it earlier. I'd been debating for a while on whether or not to have it done, but so far, I'm very happy with the job. I was afraid of the paint not matching, but it looks good. Color and texture matches the rest of the car well. The manager told me to let it cure for 6 weeks or so, and the next time that I brought it in for an oil change, he'd buff the hood again and detail the car for me. I thought that was pretty good, especially since this dealer is a Ford dealer only (SVT also), and is not where I bought the car. BTW, my car was built in June 02.
