So it's Friday, and it's time to have the oil changed in my 300B and Susan's 300A. So I go see my favorite L/M service advisor Paul. As I'm waiting for the cars to be done, Paul tells me they just that day took in a 2003 MM and did I want to take a look. Sure, I love looking at MM's even if they are supposed to be all the same.
He takes me into the back lot and shows me a 10,000 mile Blue Pearl with Light Flint interior trunk CD-changer beauty. This car has floor mats on top of the MM mats, and no dings or stone chips anywhere.
So I casually ask what they would be looking to get out of this car. It takes a few minutes as it hasn't been logged into inventory yet. When they tell me I am thinking they must have gone off the 2003 model code and thought it was used Grand Marquis, or maybe because I'm a repeat customer or something. After a few minutes of discussion and confirmation of the asking price I decide to put a deposit on it to give me some think-about-it time.
After a weekend of What-am-I-doing-I don't-need-another-one-should-have-my-head-examined-why-can't-I-sleep, I decided to bring it home tonight.
Susan was less that thrilled when I first told her I was thinking about it, but after seeing it, she agrees it is a pretty car, and extremely clean, and it solves her what-to-get-me-for-Christmas dilema.
The dealer did give me the next three for free (oil changes that it, not MM'S)

Hey, These are NOT matchbox cars! You don't need to collect the whole set to make them worth more $$$
Congrats,

Im so jealous, i had to meet him asap to see this car. Man, now i wished i waited for the blue. When i bought my 300a, i was told the marauders were only going to come in black. And i was happy, until now. All i can say about the blue is WOW!!
Between jims family and i, we could start our own vegas chapter of mm.net.
Let me try to figure out how to post those photos.
OK, well those photos i took last night wont upload because they are too big. Im a nerd, but not that big of a nerd to figure out how to make those photos smaller to upload. Sorry jim, they will be sent to your work email.

BLUE is a beautiful color on the MM...and RARE!
Dave, I was told the same thing; "Black Only"...then about 3 months later I saw a Silver MM!! :mad2:
It's OK because I still probably would have bought Black....It just looks SO EVIL!! :D

go jim, now your only problem is to figure out which one to drive. what are you going to do with your black one.
I still haven't seen a Silver one in my neck of the woods. Or another Blue one. I think they are all sharp as hell, though. I was set to drive up to CT to buy a Black one when a Blue one popped up a mere 35 miles from my house. It was sitting on the lot, shining like Justice. Drove it one block, whipped a u-turn, pulled back into the lot, bought it. Didn't realize it was fairly rare and didn't really care. No wing, no CD changer, no trunk organizer, no problem.

It was completely unexpected. I think I am done. My friends are planning an "Intervention" to stop me. Now I just gotta figure out how to pay for it all. A little OT in the future. Or I may just sell off the commuter CVPI. I will decide in a few months which one(s) I like and then maybe I'll have to let one go.....Geezzz....

Jim, you know what to do... just sell off the green cvpi, do the house thing, then take a little extra out and supercharge that black one. Keep the blue one next to that other child in your garage!!! Do it man!!!
ps, im one of those friends trying to intervene.
MOD THE BLACK ONE AND KEEP THE BLUE ONE!!!!!
