Fake scoops aren't my thing. They disrupt the flow of the vehicle. Plus, since they're fake, they're ricey IMO. No flame intended. I just don't like them personally.

Fordnut,
I did the march ram air on my old 97 GT. All I did was install a road vaccumm on my car. My K&N went to ****zit real quick. I had sand, leaves, cigarette buts, bugs and what ever else is at that level of the road.

Dont do it.

Missed the link somehow. I saw the picture with it on the hood and thought it was going there.

Just the scoop alone is probably all you need.
If you have an open air element, the scoop will *scoop* up enough air
and throw it at the open air element so that it is bathed in cold air.
The Extra Tube is probably not worth it and it may scoop up water to the Air Filter.

I see that you are creating a Ram Air system for your Marauder which is very cool (I too have been thinking about it).
But are you planning to have the scoop on the hood or under the bumper?
If you are going to be placing it on your hood have you considered using a Mach1 shaker scoop?

Yep, that part was a joke.

Maybe so. But since that fenderwell is open anyway, I would imagine that a lot of air would exit by the front wheel instead. I'm not really concerned with water. The nylon "sock" on my filter element effectively blocks water from getting in the intake tract. And there are actually enough cracks and holes in the support panel between the front and rear pieces of the radiator support panel that I think it would crain out pretty easily before creating a porblem.

It'll be under the bumper. I won't molest the hood unless I do something really crazy, like a 5.4L or something like that. I kind of like the unassuming "sleeper" appearance with the stock hood.
