From what I have been seeing, I would guess the last color sold new will be a DTR with ligh flint interior and second guess would be Silver Birch with light flint. I am not sure what states are still holding them new, so I don't have a guess on that one. For time frame, that is tough to say. It seems like there has been a surge lately in people buying them. I hope this ends up saying something to Mercury and the consider bringing the car back at some point (and hopefully NOT in FWD or AWD). So, I would guess sometime in the spring for the last one being sold. Maybe March or April.

Bradley G,
My selling dealer, Elmhurst Lincoln-Mercury still has three 2004 MM's left in stock (2 black & 1 silver birch). They had 10 in stock this past April to May when I bought my 2004 MM DTR. They received one last one in early August, built very near the end of production. They've treated me very good. I let them do my regular oil changes too. This will give you a feel for how they're selling. With the great factory rebates, I'm surprised they weren't all gone ago. the Marauder is one of the best buys on the planet, when you compare content, performance, comfort, and bottom line pricing, after all of the discounts and rebates. Plus its a five star all around rated safe car.

Jim,

You are so right about the pricing. I just wish it was in the budget right now to pick up a new one. The prices are too good to pass up and when I can afford it, I will be buying a used '04 that will probably be priced right around what some new ones are going for right now with no miles on them...

My family has been buying cars from Elmhurst Lincoln Mercury for the past 20 years. I have had a so-so relationship with them. After a few disasterous experiences in their service department I decided to end my relationship with them. However, my family still has a few cars leased through them and their sales department is not bad if you get the right person. I bought my MM from Westgate LM in Lombard, which is under the same ownership (as is M&M LM in Melrose Park.)

As for the last Marauder sold question, I would expect it will be several months before that can be determined. Last I heard, there was still a new 2003 for sale somewhere.
