I was killing a little extra time I had on my hands in Wal-Mart yesterday PM and noticed that Fram does indeed now make a "stock" high-performance air filter replacement element known as "Airhog" for the Marauder, to the tune of about $40. Just curious to know if anyone has tried this and is it worth the $40.
Thanks.

It will only make your Marauder or your Sport faster by making your wallet lighter.

It's the same as the K&N drop in panel filter. K&N's patent expired, so now everybody is making the oiled cloth filters.

Same as the K&N panel filter (replaces stock) for the Marauder.....
With a name like "AIR HOG"...
Gotta Love It! :D

...is it worth the $40.
It's a K&N clone.
If you think a K&N is worth $40, then the Airhog is, too.
If you think a K&N is worthless, then the Airhog is, too.
Man, that's a great name for a air filter" Air hog". It has the same theme as my licence plate.

Yep - check the sig.
Works and sounds fine - not much different than the K&N unit.

That was good - some of the graphic charts were scaled to over-emphasize the short comings, but the #'s don't lie!

Should I ever happen to own a fleet of diesel powered trucks, I will remember not to buy a higher flowing filter....waste of money. :D

Please, everyone buy Air Hogs - it helps my company's stock - Honeywell. They also own Prestone and many car related parts suppliers that you would not believe.
