California Smog Laws

Hey peoples...newbie member here. As a Californian from what I understand,
I'm pretty much limited in performance enhancement options if I want to
pass smog without too much effort.
What are the enhancement options that have little or no impact on smog
certification? Does a gearing and chip flash change play into smog
certification as well? I'm going to call around to my local dealers and see
how they treat the warranty issues I read about here as well.
