Wish we had some of those up here.... The deer population is getting out of control and I have never heard of a gator running out in front of (or into) a car.

Umm, did run over a gator once, in a Chevy van. Was near Lake Okeechobee, driving on a two lane next to a large ditch. Wife was driving, I was asleep in passenger set with head against the window. Driving over the beast gently awakened me by banging my punkin head hard against the window glass. I asked what the hell she did that for, all she could say was g-g-g-g-gator !! He continued across the road, didn't seem fazed by it.

Nope, it ain't. I'd estimate it at about 12 feet. At Gatorland in Florida, I saw one do a tail-spring and snatch a chicken held out about 9 feet off the water. He darn near got his entire length airborne. Scared the crap out of me ... we left the park immediately thereafter ... Dayum ... :D

Man looking at the size of that deer.....that gator could do some damage....I suspect no one will be coming along to take his food...... ;)

Where did you get those photos? A Police Chopper?

I nearly hit a gator once on Rt. 66 near Zolfo Springs. I thought it was retread lying on the road but when the car in front of me paseed him, he moved, almost into my path. Fortunately I had room to go around him but he was big enough that it would have done some damage.

DonA news helicopter flying over Lake George in Ocala took the pictures and a friend e-mailed them to me.
