Anyone know about int'l copyright laws?

I want to use this Panther logo on my site:

however it belongs to a European company that's been using it in their logo for Ten years... do you think I could borrow it, lol?

I'd just use it. At worst, if they find out and want to be uncivil about it, you can remove it or redraw it yourself.

Not being in the US would make it a hardship for them to do anything about it anyway.
