A chip and a rearend gear upgrade will do the trick. You can also do underpulleys and headers. Check out Alternative Performance and Reinhart Auotmotive for those upgrades. They are supporting vendors with links to their sites on the "vendors thread section". As said earlier check out the different threads.

For less than $1,500 installed I ran a 14.2 w/ tune, UD pulleys, 4:10, Denso, Thermostat.

U must not really be 92 yrs old, right? :banana2:

No offence, but if you cannot afford a supercharger like you've stated, then why is it that you've posed this question in a forum that's devoted to a S/Cer company and their product? Perhaps you would've obtained more helpful and specific replies in the "Garage" forum, or in the "Community" forum of this board. ;)

Wait a minute. You're 92 and drag racing your friend at stoplights? And you need to go faster?

Don't sweat it, ***** happens. If the situation draws more attention, an Administrator can move your post, no harm done. Besides, you got some pretty good answers already.

BTW, a 75 pound shot of NOS could give you the lead on the competition too. Just make sure the wrench you select has some experience with the product.

:welcome:I don't know what they're talking about, ..where to post, but don't sweat it, you're doing just fine, and welcome.

Although I've done very little to mine, yet, a set of 4:11's will help a lot, and while you're at it, add a stud and girdle kit (Shiney Hiney) from Wess Chain, a vendor here. (Innovative Interceptors) Get the gears installed at a VERY competent shop, and you'll need to get your Computer reflashed to correct for the speedometer error. Have them check your axle shafts while they're at it, although most of the problems were with the '03's as I understand it. There are several chip choices, but many recommend the hand-held type, especially in the '04's. This is pretty much what Sailsman posted, and is a good start. Also, you might want to consider a drive shaft upgrade, as some have experienced problems at speeds um, a little over the posted limits: ...on private courses only.;)

Dennis Reinhart is the guy to contact, about the driveshaft, as he is a vendor here as well.

Another bit of advice: Be careful with your transmission. It's very strong, but does NOT like to be hammered in Overdrive. In other words, keep it OUT of overdrive when you're playing. You'll find threads about that if you search under "WOT" Again, welcome, and enjoy the MM, it's a great ride. :D

For Less than $1,300 (Parts AND Labor) you can run low 14's. And have a very very fast car.

Call Dennis Reinhart -
http://www.reinhartautomotive.com

Get 4:10 Gears, SCT Tuner, Denso Plugs from Dennis. Then go to muffler shop and get an x-pipe with flowmasters, 40's or 50's.

Lastly get the JTL intake.

Gears and muflers were done by pro shops. Rest I installed myself.

The thread has been moved, so we can drop that subject....thanks to whomever moved it.

Gears and tuner will set you straight, and the Magnum will never catch up from there.
Bear in mind as well, your MM is new, and the EEC is still learning your driving habits. These cars wake up around 7500 miles or so and start really dropping times.

The stage one upgrade of gears and a tuner, with subsequent labor should be less than $1000. Start saving some money, and go for it.

I assure you that you do not need a blower to out run a magnum....nor a GT....nor many of the other smaller faster cars out there.

BTW: Please update your profile to indicate your location so that we may be of more assistance in locating other folks and shops in your area.
