I just wanted to update anyone who has any interest about this project.

1. attached is our first Dyno run from a couple of weeks ago.

2. We measured all the diffrential tempatures with a pyromoter last night.
At full boost 9PSI the tempature at the intake was 39 degrees higher than the outside tempature. At normal driving the temp. at the itake was ambient(the outside temp.) that is within a good range. I would like to see it at about 20 to 30 dgrees higher than ambientnder full boost.

3. We are pulling the blower off tonight and taking it to ProCharger where they will Install a cut down version of the full size impeller causing the blower to spool up faster and creating more tourqe down low. We want this to be the best that it can. I want to see about 420RWHP and about 400 RWT at 9PSI so if you went with the DR exhaust or Kooks that would put you at around 450RWHP.

4. We also want to address the gas milage. After about 600 miles I am getting around 11 MPG. It probaly does not help that I can't keep my foot out of it.I think I only got about 15 in the city before.

5. We are changing fuel pumps and going to a dual Cobra pump set up.

6. We are currently using a 2 core air to air sheetmetal Intercooler that is 3" thick and we are going to go to 3 1/2 thick.

7. This kit will be tuned to run on 91 octane.

8. Next Dyno run will December 28th.

We feel with the above changes and the proper tune that this kit will be better than ever. We could put the kit out now how it is today and most would be happy with it but I want the best HP to $$$ kit on the market and let's not forget another important factor Drivability.

I like my MM so much now that it is Blown that I have bought another car to drive every Day. This thing is that much fun that I want to keep it for along time.

We were testing last night and I nailed it in second and got up too about 110MPH and hit the Brakes and next thing I know I have two Police officers behind me running my plates and than the sirens. We had the inside light on so we could read all the gauges and the officers ask the usual "do you know how fast you were going" sorry officer we were looking at the Pyromoter while tuning this S/C MM. The officer says that he drove one these for a driving training class and loved it. Next thing I know there under the hood and were talking about the 17 FHP cars.

Never would have happened in a mustang 110MPH and no ticket only in a MM

You gotta love.:)

Ps. we were not street racing. we were testing and I don't have a track.

WOW :banana2: , very impressive that you are taken steps to develop and reporting the raw unfinished data to us.

As do we all.

Nice work KC, keep us posted. This sounds like a very inviting supercharging option.

. . . This kit will be tuned to run on 91 octane.GREAT WORK, MARAUDERNKC!!!
That's so exciting to hear about your progress! FINALLY, someone will optimize a supercharger tune for 91-octane fuel from the get-go! The smaller impeller idea for quicker spool-up sounds great! Glad you're putting in a larger intercooler, also. Keep up the great work, maraudernkc--you have a customer anxiously waiting in California--but take your time to get it right--I certainly can appreciate your "development" process and mindset in wanting to "get it right!"

Greg,
Great progress.
My comments:
1. Anxious to see one with the tc and downshift locked out for low rpm data!

2. I would also like to see it lower, hopefully the intercooler width increase will help out there.

3. How does the modified impeller compare with a D1SC impeller. The D1SC is really the one I want to use. Most of the ProCharger kits offer this as an upgrade at purchase time.

4. Hard to get good data since it's just asking for you to stomp it now!

5. I'm happy to hear that you're going to be using the twin Cobra pumps.

6. Hope the intercooler size increase helps.

7. The 91 octane is a base tune, right? Then for a performance tune I can get a 93 octane or race gas (100 octane) program with a switchable chip, I hope.?

8. Anxiously waiting for the next dyno pulls.

Drivability is so important. Glad it's as high on the priority list as raw power output.

Lucky on that test run. Probably won't get off next time.

How about some pics of the tubing underneath the car between the intercooler and engine compartment? I need to mount some other things in the fenderwells and don't want to get in the way of the supercharger tubing.

I'm working on converting my car to 8-rib pulleys and belt. Hopefully the shimming for supercharger mounting will not introduce any interference or fit problems with tubing. I assume one could order the kit with 8-rib pulleys instead of 6-ribs, as other Procharger kits allow?

Got any pics of the brackets, pulleys, and belt routing?

Thanks!

1. That will happen December 28th and the converter will be locked

2. It should start at about 1500RPM on the Dyno pull

3. We were using the P1SC with the full size staright impeller but just installed a cut down version of that on the MM. They take about a 1/4 inch off. Just took it out for a test drive and was getting 9PSI but she starting to ping and I had to back off. The tune was for the full size Impeller. The RPMs on the cut down impeller climb much faster but it felt slower overall. I need to try a tune with this impeller. Pandes Perf. used the cut down version with exhaust and got 449RWHP and 411RWT not bad. I do not know what impeller the D1SC has.

7. The base tune that will come with the kit will be for 91 Octane but you will have to take the car to someone that has a Dyno and have the car Properly tuned. You will have the Base tune all the shift point etc. they will just get your A/F ratio right and your timming and you can bring some 100 octane and get a second tune for that. New two cars are alike and that's why you need to take it and get it tuned. Anyone sending a tune that is good for all cars is going to be way on the rich side so that it will be safe and thats what tune Mine will have way on the rich side.

An 8 rib pulley should not be a problem.

I will post more photos when it is all done.

There is no tubing in the inner fender wells at all this is all tucked in nice and clean. I will post photos of the entire kit when complete.

Greg,
Great progress.
