What a night! A bunch of us met at the track in Bradenton to make some 1/4 mile passes. Tonight I was hoping for a personal best. I bumped my NOS to 125HP. The air was dry and about 60*F. The track was a little inconsistant, a lot of people weren't hooking up so I went conservative with the holeshot, hitting the NOS after the car went about a car length. First pass was an unbelieveable 12.964 @107 MPH. I achieved my goal of 12.xxx seconds! I was so excited, I felt like I was 10 feet tall, but then I looked over at Tallboy and realized I wasn't!
We hung around and watched some of the other cars run and let the car cool. I ran again, this time it ran a 12.862 @ 107 MPH. Same type of holeshot and a similar 60ft time of 1.94 sec. It felt so awsome. I was beside myself and getting hi 5's from everyone.
The track crew closed the lanes for a bit to dress up the track. The first cars to run were a couple of dragsters, Tallboy and I were the next cars up. Without heating up my tires, I lined up in the rubber that the dragster left and gave the gas a couple of stabs to see if it would hook up, it stuck like glue! This time I'm going for it! I'm either gonna spin like crazy or hook up. I left on 3rd yellow and cut a .007 light. The car hooks up like crazy and I stayed on the NOS all the way down the track. I never felt a car hookup and pull like this, what a feeling. I get to the turn off and Tallboy is yelling out the window of his car at me saying "12 6, you ran a friggin 12 6". I was like "yea, right". Got my slip and holy *****, a 12.682 at 108.18 MPH. The car hooked up for an amazing 1.847 60ft time on the factory stock tires!! That was it. I parked the car and just had a satifying grin the rest of the night!

Nice runs...that is dead on with a Supercharged Marauder.
I ran a 12.54 @ 109.XX in my Trilogy.
I have about 425rwhp....and guessing you have just around 300...its about right with the 125 shot.
Congrats. Very nice runs! :D

Claude, you made me proud man !!!! The 12.6 is a number many S/C cars have yet to achieve. Great driving, way to hook-up; 1.84 on stock tires. You are in a class by yourself !!!:bows: :bows: :bows:

:hmmm: Nice JoB,
You single handedly, pushed me over the fence on concidering spraying my car.
I always though of it as a "not for me"kinda thing. But I really want to compete near the ET's you achieved.I know it will be a while for a S/C, I'am only pullies and a bottle away HuH!If my memory serves me correct $500.00 NOs + $250 for pullies............HMMMM
Thank Claude,

I believe Carfixer has an all time low 60' time of 1.84 on OEM tires and wheels, that is some good driving. I checked the timeslips page and there is no faster 60' on stock tires.

Claude, that is a hell of a time and great reaction time. No wonder your feeling so well. I hope you will be installing alot of the ProCharger kits so you can put one on you car and than hit the bottle and see what happens.

Mike Mielnicki: What brand NOS. I Know edelbrock makes a system for about $700.00 If I remember correctly.
Mike, I used a Zex wet nitrous system. It is by far the easiest to install and comes with 75, 100, 125 HP jets. I found it online for under $550 shipped. Bootlegger has a Ny-trex kit in his car. It was a little more involved to install but works just a good, as will the others. Check out this (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=14103&highlight=zex) thread for some more info and links.
Guys, thanks for the kind words. Going to the track is so much fun, especially when your result are better than expected. I'm still grinning from ear to ear. :)

I wish I had a digital camera to show Carfixer and everyone one this site how the Marauder launched. the a$$ end hooked up and the front was barely on the ground. :awe: Nice run Carfixer by the way I had my best run with a 14.2. I will get my slips back from work and post them

Im impressed.What he said.
Carfixer is showing us what the NOS is capable of doing, getting more oxygen into the cylinders chemically. It may cost $10 or so to go 1/4 mile, but this is the cheapest way to go this fast the first couple hundred runs.
Kudos to the Nazi scientists that invented the system in order to shoot down British Mosquito bombers that were supercharged and had a higher ceiling.
