BAD ROD

OK, I thought some of you might get a kick out of this. I drive a 1994 Impala SS. It has been a great car with very little problems. It is my daily driver and I drive it HARD. At the end of last week, I lost first and 4 gear in my transmission. The car is at the dealer getting fixed. They are pulling out the transmission to find out was is wrong. Their guess is that I need a new (rebuilt) transmission, not uncommon on Impala SS’s. OK, let me get to my story.....
My car does not look new anymore. It has a ding here and a scratch there, I poked a hold in the seat (on accedent), tires are worn, yadda, yadda, yadda....My car is starting to show it's age. It is afterall, 9 years old.
This weekend when we were stuck with just one car, my wife says.....”why don’t you just buy a Marauder?”.
I thought that was a pretty good comment coming from an Impala SS family. :D
For the record, I am sticking with the Impala SS for now.
