I am seeing if I can publicly host an AVI file of me at Hagerstown.

I have limited space, so if it works I am still bummed as I can only upload files up to 15mb at a time, and the better videos are over 15mb.:(

This one is 8mb. Try to right click and save as...???

Very nice Barry! The initial download was choppy, (probably due to bandwith limitations) but after that it ran great! I have it saved. Very impressive! :D

OK...so it works...half azzed albeit.

I need to call them for larger file uploads. I have 500mb of space, but incremental uploads of 15mb per file.

When I get it straightened out, I'll put up the good stuff.:D ;)

Are there any software programs that came with windows XP that will chop up (edit) an existing video?

Windows Movie Maker under Programs | Accessories | Entertainment. Can't comment on it usefulness as I have never used it.

The downloads must be feeding through a 28kbps or 56 Kbps modem somewhere in the loop. I was only pulling at about 20 Kbps from the site and I have a digital cable connection.

Barry, were they the videos that my son (S.O.B.) took that day?

Yes they are. But I had to chop them into sizes I could upload. <15mb.

So...what happens if you merely right click and save as....?
Still slow down load?

I tried both ways ... direct load and right click .. both were slow as Molasses in January ... under 20 Kbps and 8+ minutes to offload. I don't know whether he can adjust the resolution to make the files smaller.

Prolly the site getting hammered. I downloaded the first one as soon as Barry posted it and it was plenty fast.

I'm sorry guys....:o

When I get big.....I'm gonna have a site to host these things to call my own.:D

One would think a site as big as yahoo would have bandwidth to spare. :shake:

OK, I have deleted the lin for noow because I cannot download either!!!!!:P

I need to move some files off the old computer, and it doesn't have a CD-WRITER, so this is my only method.

Thanks for the input all!:D
