Looks kinda like a re-po lot. Wonder what the reserve price is?

I was wondering why there would be a used Marauder with only 2500 miles on it for sale. Repo makes sense.
Not only are the photos plentiful on that page, but they are also very sharp.

This is the second time this MM was on E Bay, didn't reach resreve the first time. John

Gotta say, it's a clean photo spread alright. Apparently nothing to hide here.
The closer to 20K, the happier one buyer could be, eh?
So, what do you think, guys? Is it better for this car to sell low? Say, maybe 21K?
Or, better to not sell at all via ebay auction, because the high reserve wasn't met?
Obviously, one answer means that the re-sale value of our MMs hits a new low. Just as obvious, earns a rep of "no taker on ebay at 20K," which could spell "not wanted" too.
Which way would you like to see this auction go?

Well, Sarge...I don't have much experience with e-bay, other than some occasional browsing, but the truth is that I don't CARE what my car is worth to someone else, I only car what it's worth to me. I tend to keep my cars for a long time, so even though they're in good shape, they're old and have high mileage, so they aren't worth anything to anyone else...I would LIKE to trade the Black Falcon (possibly to be re-named the SR-71) for the 2005 blown ragtop version, so in that respect I would like the trade-in value to remain high, but I'm not holding my breath that the Marauder marque will survive that long...
If I'm really lucky, I might be able to trade it in on a Sable and kick ALL your a$$es... D'OH!

I don't think the prices brought on eBay reflect reality at all. So whatever it sells for or does not sell for there should have no bearing on Marauder value.

I'am also in for the long haul. I intend to have my MM for a long time. As far as E Bay this is a dealer of sorts who thinks he can make a killing. His reserve is probably 28 or $29000 . Who would pay that when you can get a new one for about the same cost. I tracked that same MM when it was one E Bay last time and as I stated above I didn't meet the reserve. John:)

Gas gauge reading is on the low side, must be he couldn't afford the premium fuel:coolman:
HEY! That Looks Just Like My CAR!
Current bid: US $ US $20,000.00
Bid increment: US $ US $100.00
Your Maximum bid: US $ (Minimum bid: US $20,100.00 )
Current bit is $20,000?
Minimum bit is $20,100?
The current bidder wouldn't go that extra 100 bucks????
Am I missing something here?

The minimum is different from the reserve. That's just the minimum amount the next bid has to be...

I checked the Ford database (called the Oasis, I use it for all Ford products that I look into) and saw that this one was not too reliable. One time it would not start, so they replaced the crank sensor. Another time it had a miss, so they replaced all of the spark plugs and coils. This one could be an RAV- Return Authorized Vehicle that taken back by Ford and is then sold at auction. Minor subject change-- I am supposed to get pics of a severly damaged Marauder that was on Ebay some time ago. I will post them when I get them.

Would that be the Marauder in TX the guy was trying to sell the engine out of? I think he wanted $7500 for the whole car

TELL ME MORE!!!! last night my MM suddenly had a no-start condition...just out of the blue...turned 2000 miles on Mon.:bigcry:
Had to have it towed in to work today...after the tech poked around a while determined that the PCM was bad...of course he had to wait till after lunch so I couldn't order it for next day:mad:
1st thing I noticed is it changes part numbers and I can't order the original number.....probably a good thing..........
I should have it on Friday:rolleyes: Boy I sure hope so 'cause I have an appt. for the DYNO on Sat(already paid for):burnout:
please tell me more about the 'early calibration' as I work at the dealer(Ford not Mercury)and haven't heard about it:banana2:

This is from SgtMac in the "Processor" thread
My LM SM says the BMDO program had a glitch that caused a "no start" under some conditions, and my MM was upgraded to FDH2 shortly after it arrived.
I'd think even a Ford dealership should have access to the info though

I had 47 miles on my 99 Vic, when it left me sit at the bottom of my drive. Had to call roadside assist. Went very well. Turned out the ground screw for the computer was not tightened and it felll out!

Yeah Rich mine happened in my driveway too..........luckily it happened there 'cause Saturday we went to Disneyland and if you've been there lately(or at all) the parking structure is a 6 story building!
If it had happened there I don't know what I would've done:confused:
I doubt tow trucks fit very well in there(especilally a flatbed with a car on the back)
I can almost imagine what my roof would look like:argue:
