OKay !!! So, yesterday the wife and I were headed to the first of the Holiday Parties up in Maryland. It was the usual heavy Northern Virginia traffic headed north. Things loosened up a bit (but not much) over in Maryland. While we were headed east on US 50 toward Annapolis, I came up on a left lane runner in a Jeep Cherokee cruising at about 3 under. I trailed this guy for about 5 miles and he just wouldn't slide right. Traffic in the middle lane was heavy enough to prevent me from just going around. Finally, he glanced in the rearview mirror for his routine 30 minute check of the rear and noticed my headlights and decided to get over (whew!!). :D

When he cleared the lane, I nailed it and went past him at about 85 MPH (or more) and then eased on back to a comfortable 75 with a free lane as far as I could see. :burnout:

At this point, my wife remarks ... "When you get pulled over, I am gonna laugh my azz off and be a witness". I don't think she meant for the defense. I guess I have to learn to suppress those demons. :seesaw: :dunno:

That "feature" coming from the passenger seat is not exclusively a local thing but a continent thing !!

Check this out: I was kind enough to give my first wife a ride to the Courthouse to finalize our divorce. Okay, nice had nothing to do with it, I wanted to make sure she showed. Anyway, we're bickering but I'm trying to be civil and just get it overwith, didn't realize I was doing 50 in a 35. Got stopped, explained to the nice Officer where I was going and why I wasn't paying attention. His reply was "Well since you're on you way to the Courthouse, pay this ticket when you get there." Thank you Sir. So I get back in the car and what does my 'wife' do? Laffs at me. It took everything I had as a decent human being to just keep calm and get to the Courthouse and get on with my life. Ahhhhh, good ol' Florida.

Could be ... I have followed her when she was driving the van and she does like to get on the Go Pedal. She was really disappointed when I told her the MM convertible was not gonna be happening. :(
