Grinning from ear to ear

My wife and I went to Cosco today in Kansas City. On our way out back to the car, we hear "excuse me sir ... sir ... excuse me sir!" I turned around and one of the tire shop employees says to me "You drive that Marauder?" to which I replied "yes, sure do". He then replied "That's such a cool car" and gave me a big thumbs up.

My wife at this point says "You just made his day" and I thanked him at which point he ducked his head back in the tire shop.

This is the first time such a thing has ever happened to me. Never had anyone stopped me just to tell me how cool or good my car looks prior to my purchasing my Marauder. It's an awesome feeling and re-inforces the fact that the Marauder is a truly special car.

In anycase, thought I'd share that with all of you.

Dontcha love it?! I've only had one negative comment, if you could call it that. The first time I washed the Marauder, 2 young boys were walking past the house and one says "COOL CAR!" I said you like it? He says "Yeah, how much you sellin it for?" I said I just got it. He points over the Marauder into my garage where my 77 Corvette sits with a For Sale sign on it. HA! I said "Uhhhh, 6 grand." Embarassed, I went back to washing the car...:P

Val, thanks for sharing the story. That may have been the first time ... but it certainly won't be the last that someone approaches you about the Marauder. :2thumbs:

My car was actually clean a man stopped me while i was leaving the store.. Hey buddy!.. is that a marauder.. one of those 450 hp cars? I guess he must have read about a SC marauder.. Lol.. :depress::depress: One day I'll supercharger my baby.. Till then i'll have to read all your guys stories and drool... lol!..

Val, thanks for sharing the story. That may have been the first time ... but it certainly won't be the last that someone approaches you about the Marauder. :2thumbs:

Like it was already said...get used to it :D

Then...get a supercharger...and when you get to tell people its got 500hp to the crank and 425 to the wheels....you'll see jaws drap and multiple requests to see the engine bay!

Either way...this car gets alot of looks! :party:

Agreed ...

I'm working on getting a site together for KC and surrounding areas so that we can get a member list going. Once that has been setup (hopefully by end of January) then we can see about scheduling something. I'd love to meet fellow Marauder owners here in the area.

Like Five O has said---it happens about every time I'm out in my MM and am sure the same applies to all here ...so ..yeah ---you'll really like it when at places like the gas station, it'll happen and there will be BMW's, Lexus and others (owners) around lurking over to see whose car is more important than theirs---Thats when you really feel good.....gotta love it..........Tom
