i've been reading the threads on winter/snow driving. i don't drive my MM in the snow as a rule so i will not be putting snow tires on. however, i would like to keep a set of chains in the trunk for emergencies. does anyone know where to buy a set of chains? thanks on advance

Local hardware chain just recently advertised some plastic-looking things that can be put on tires without having to lift the car, held in place by some sort of positive-locking action as they put it. Was not cheap, so I figure it's not the usual JC Whitney variety of gadget. They looked like plastic versions of snow chains, but really only hugging the tire in 3 places (in a triangle, in other words).

I once bought a cheap set from JC Whitney years ago....kept falling off the wheels...I sent them back and bought snow tires.;)

 Not sure, but I think I read somewhere in the manual you should never put chains on the Marauder. Plus, I think you might have trouble finding chains to fit the size tires we have on the cars.

new car buyer - Welcome to the MM site. :D IMO opinion chains on a Marauder are a No No.
