Why the low price?

Saw this car on www.autotrader.com and couldn't believe the low price. There has to be something wrong with it:

22K miles is alot for a 2004,.. but I'm not sure if it warrents a 50% reduction in MSRP.

When looking on autotrader.com, there were a couple with more miles than that (one even had over 30,000 miles on it) and they were still asking mid-20,000 for that other one...

I hope there are some people that keep some '04's around and don't drive them much so I can find a low mileage one when the time comes.

According to 411.com (reverse phone look-up) http://411.com/reverse_phone the person selling it is listed as an individual. Too far for me just to have a looksee.

all wheel drive huh? :rolleyes: not to mention no VIN available,... and it's silver,.. so it couldn't have been built in '02.

maybe, just maybe, the seller thinks its just a Mercury Grand Marquis. That would explain the low price. If the vin was there, I could run it.

Its obviously a dealer stock photo, I exchanged about 10 emails with the guy. After talking to him, I figured it was a scam, and then I reported the ad to carsdirect.com
