OK every one has there opinion on how to build a monster modular motor here is mine, first of all I start with the Lincoln Or Cobra block, and steel crank, I have the whole reciprocating assembly balanced if you are using a stud girdle it comes with good fasteners, if not use ARP main studs. I sent the 1999 tumble port heads to Fox Lake, they are fully massaged and the flow over 300 CFM they have stainless valves and titanium keepers upgraded valve springs. I use these heads because they don't require IMRCS, I sent the lower intake to extrude hone. I had Ron install 1998 Cobra Mustang exhaust cams, and 2001 Lincoln Navigator cams, this set up gives more torque down low where I want it, I will use 50 pound injectors a twin 255 Walbro fuel pump with # 6 and # 8 lines and I will be using the stock gas tank, this motor will idle at 800 RPM, smooth as glass and still get relatively decent gas mileage and melt the tires, and should push the car to 10's on 93 octane

Use ARP head studs I use only CP pistons now this is my new motor and is set up for 9 to 1 compression ratio. I will be running about 15 pounds boost.

Each piston is weighed all clearances are checked.

Now there is nothing hard about putting one of these motors together, just take your time, I mark the chains with a dab of white out, makes every thing very easy to verify its right, http://web.iwebcenters.com/reinhartautomotive/images/Mvc-134s.jpg

So again I will post more on the engine, every thing is going together fine I expect to make 600 RWHP, I just did the same setup on a 98 Mark 8 and he did not use tumble port heads and I made him 533 RWHP and he loves the car.

Moving right along I hope to have it in this week aint she a beauty, I figure 600 to the wheels on 93 octane, this would be the exact same set up for a Marauder.

Ther is an old proverb that goes:

If you have to ask the price, you can't afford it anyway!

But being as we are all curious, I'd like to know too!
