Hey gang,
Just checking on what everyone wants to do to their Marauder this year...mods wise.
Also looking at what everyone goals are in racing or track events coming up next year.
My upcoming mods:
Buy a 20 foot tilt bed trailer for longer trips with the Marauder....she deserves to rest :) (early February)
Lidio has agreed to install a 2.8" pulley and a K&N intake along with a racing gas tune (late February).
Widened rims with Nitto's. (by early March)
New coil covers (gotta call Ray!!!) (by springtime).
New personalized plate: I was going to go with BOOOOST but decided on ARUNVUS...loved the idea from the other threads. My current plate is UNXPCTD just like Lidio's (Thanks for the idea Lidio!) but I wanted it for a few months just to insult the ex wife a bit... IE: UN-EX, as in NO-EX :D but Lidio has the dibs on this plate and I'll get another! Time to move on :)
1- 4.6L Supercharged "Red" emblem on the back of the car. Also going to put "Trilogy #48" in a custom made decal on the back.
Goals for 2005:
1.75 0-60 foot time....should be feasible. I had a 1.85 with street tires and my current 3.2" pulley. With the Nitto's, widened rims and 2.8" pulley this should be in the ballpark.
12.15 ET at the track. Again...should be feasible with the mods.
115-116 trap speed. Might be tough. At my race weight....over 4500 and should be more with the Nitto's and widened rims...its gonna be tough. I'd like to see 114-115 and I'd be satisfied.
Share your mod goals and race goals!!!
I know some of us do other racing than just drag racing....so share your goals on those events too!
Happy Holidays to all!
 :hug2:

So many options and ideas.
My main goal is to save up and supercharge. I plan on having Lidio do the K & N kit in Feb/March.
I'm also contemplating the cobra ceramic manifolds from DR's kit.
Wife has even commented that I may want a cheap vehicle so the MM can sleep as all the snow we've had has been rough on my nerves. Its a little difficult launching with the 4.10's.

For 2005: Have Lidio tune my chip to run better with the PHP airbox/JLT induction tube. DR Cobra Exhaust.

Goals: Remember to start in Drive (D) not 2nd. Turn off the traction control. Turn OFF the o/d, use the cute little button on the shifter to do this. Remember to start JUST as the green light on the christmas tree comes on, not after it's been on a couple of seconds. Don't never, ever show anyone my time slips, but get one of Barry's and show his. Do a better job of hiding the rear bumper damage from future um, meetings with the stupid bricks at the garage door, and never tell that darned Joe Walsh or Charlie about the mishaps again.
These are my goals to become the next champion at the 2005 Mason Dixon shootout. (Merc's doo)

No track goals for me, but as far as upgrades I'm determined to get a brake kit this summer. Don't know which one I'll go with yet, though.

Hopefully I can get a brake kit too, I'm going with the KVR kit that Dennis has.
Also the PHP airbox with conical filter and a custom tune from Dennis.
Possibly the level II trans. upgrade too. :coolman:

My mod goals for 2005 (in order):
1) Naake coil overs and QA1 shocks for the rears
2) K&N intake kit
3) Addco Front Sway Bar
4) Metco Watts Link
5) Steeda polished fuse box cover
6) Polish and chrome upper intake, ceramic metallic coat lower intake.
7) Polish and chrome coolant crossover pipe
8) Polish and chrome alternator bracket
and MAYBE:
9) third pillar pod with Dakota Digital oil temp gauge.
10) under hood liner/trunk liner
This may go out the window if i can get the cowl induction hood made in
2005, in which case screw the polishing and chroming.

I've got a few myself:
1) Try to keep under 35K miles this year. Won't be easy the way I enjoy driving this car.
2) Put aside some cash for a total engine rebuild when I hit the magic 100K mark. This plan is currently in place, unless another nice boat comes by.
3) Get up to NED and participate in their points racing this year. I'm currently working out the details with a bud from another site.
4) No excuses, attend more Marauder events. I have such a blast at every one.
5) Start on some suspension/brake upgrades, i.e. QA-1's, new control arms, sway bar, etc.
6) Get the driveshaft loop, just in case.
7) Headers and new exhaust system.
8) Helmet, to protect my little brain, even if I'm not into the 13's. Seems to make sense.
9) Get my stupid radio fixed once and for all, it's been bad (off and on) since 3k miles. Fortunately, I have 7 slips stating this problem and the dealers attempted repairs.
10) Keep enjoying the folks here on this site, definately the best there are.

I'm planning on saving as much as I can, but the following is the wish list from my user notes.
My wish list as follows:
Cold Air Intake
Complete Exhaust System
Super Charger
If I'm able to, I'd like to get the hood/trunk liner, front sway bar, and everything Metco has for the MM. But I need to save for a new home first, otherwise I'll be living out of my car (maybe not that bad of an idea).

Just curious how everyone did on the 2005 season?
I'll start:
Well I got into the 13's.(with a little help from my friends)
I did post somewhere, I was skipping them.(NOS)
Little did I know how, difficult it really is.
Thanks for this thread, FiveO!
ATTN:
Just because you did not post prior, does not mean we(ME) don't
want to hear from You!
