I've found a "new" 03 MM that never sold. It only has a couple of hundred miles on it. The dealership will have it to my door (shipped to Hawaii) for $26,000.00. It cost almost 1K to ship from West coast to HI. So is $25K and some change a good price for a never bought 03? Thanks for any info.

Purchased my new 03 this last April for $20,700. Price before trade in $25,000.00. Miles on car 132.

I'd suggest that you have someone here inspect it befor you buy. I'm sure if you post the location of it, a member would step up to give it a check.

I agree with SoulRiot. Just shipping that MM without a clear and careful inspection from someone that knows about MM's, outside of the dealership is asking to be disapointed when you receive your ride and find an unexpected problem. Not knocking the dealerships inspection, but one must protect there intrest.

The car is at a Mercury dealership in Spoken, WA. Don't recall the name of the dealership right now. My credit union requires a third party to complete their inspection sheet prior to releasing any funds. So as long as the vehicle IS in "new" condition, $25K is a fair/good price?
Also, thanks for the timely responses.

Spokane?
If so, that's about 325 miles east of the pacific. Teamrope is the first person to come to mind, but man...that's like a 4-1/2 hour drive each way for him....:depress:

I could have sworn I saw a new member with in the last 2 months that was in Idaho or western Montana. Spokane is at least an 8 hour round trip.
If your credit union requires a 3rd party inspection by a professional, you should be safe. $25K is a good price. Thats 4K cheaper than I got mine a year ago Thanksgiving. :)

We paid 25.3 for our '04. I think I would try more negotiating.

IMHO ... $25K still seems a tad high. I got my '03 MM some 14 months ago for $27K. No matter how you slice it, that car is two years old even if the odometer is barely used. Blue Book value on mine is listed at about $21,500. I think that I would try to hit a number between $22-24K out the door. The lower end if you are a tough negotiator and let them pick up the shipping costs. :D

I hope it works out for you, and it seems a very good deal, considering the shipping costs. Hopefully the third party insspection is by someone who knows something about MMs. Sounds as if it's gonna have a wonderful place to live.:)

Roadwarriorsvt...go on www.autotrader.com and you can get a good ideal of costs of MM...there are 196 MMs for sale...a 7,000 mile one with a VT stroked 4.6 to 5.0 and SCed with 550hp...also a blue MM for 19,000...just thought this might help with pricing and such...willie

Thanks for all the relpies guys. I'm surprised at the # of replies considering the # of over all membership. Try getting this much response from the Corral.net with over 30,000 members! HA!!
I'll check out auto trader and other options. I feel better about buying a car from a dealership too.
Prchrman, I gotta stay away from the mods, at least with my daily driver  My 97 Cobra will become a 9 sec. trailor queen!

Good luck with your purchase. :D Has that Marauder been registered with the DMV or does the warranty start when you purchase? IMO the warranty is extremely important.

Willie,
The autotrader.com is the ticket! After viewing about three pages, it makes me feel I'm getting quite a good deal! Thanks.
