Just wondering,
Does the smile ever go away? Every time I walk by her, open the door, slide into the leather seat, turn the key and hear that motor fire up, the smile is there, the whole time. I'm thinking I might have to get it surgically removed.....

I grin ear to ear the whole time driving it!!! Just thinking about her right now is making me smile.

People at work are remarking about how happy I seem these days..... :D

Lets hear it! Does the smile go away?

No, it doesn't go away. Even when I'm not smiling on the outside, I'm still smiling on the inside as I park her carefully in a selective spot where ever I go, and I get out, close the door, hit the locks, and stare at her as I'm walking away.........I just can't help but stare. :) And as I'm walking away, I just want to get right back in and fire her up again, and drive her around some more......

My desk at my last job was next to a window that overlooked the parking lot. I could look at my car in the lot while I was working and just the sight of it made me smile.

Do you remember Bruce Sprinsteen's Cadillac Ranch?

"Well, there she sits buddy justa gleaming in the sun
There to greet a working man when his day is done
-snip-
Long and dark, shiny and black
Open up your engines let 'em roar
Tearing up the highway like a big old dinosaur"

Heh heh heh ... I get to drive/grin in mine year round. That is, when my wife isn't in it. She grins too. Same grin as when she is in her little red convertible.

Speaking of withdraw........I just came home and took out #7 , after being in for 8 days, and couldn't help it...got a little fishy and yeah, left some more double remarks of her streching out---oh yeah---- (grining outwardly)--it never goes away----and the rumble of her pipes are so "in charge"....everybody turns their head----this car barks anytime anywhere for any reason---see- , I even have a problem even trying to talk just a few words about it --you just can't somehow ----sorry---..........Tom

Wes, it just keeps growing, that smile. I'm astonished that this car exists, never mind my being lucky enough to have gotten the chance to own one of 'em. Smile on, friend. Oh, and don't forget to get her a new Shiney Hiney. :marauder:

And I do my best to at least lay my eyes on my beauty everyday. I may not talk to her...or touch her...but at least I see her :D

I'm so happy in the car it looks like I stuck my head out the window and got hit with 2 big bags of 's*it eating grin'. And when I get out of it, it looks like I stepped in it too! As a matter of fact, I'm so happy I think I'm the one who filled those 2 bags and then threw them at myself!! DAMMIT THIS CAR MAKES ME HAPPY!!! SO HAPPY IN FACT I THINK I'LL GO TAKE IT FOR A SPIN RIGHT N..........

The only time it goes away is whaen you have to drive something else (right now I'm in MD, got an '04 Lincoln for a rental :( ).

BTW... the only other car I've owned that got more "looks" than my black-on-black '04 was the Bradley GT (painted in silver metal flake) my father and I built back in the early 80's. If I parked that car in a shopping center parking lot the crowd would be 2 & 3 deep when I returned...

I thought I would share this. On my way to a meeting this evening. It was about 5 pm. Not dark yet that sun fading look (Understand?). Driving thru town with the parking lights and fog lights on (God I luv that look) And the car was still clean after 3 days from being washed. Listening to VH (Right here, Right Now) (LOUD). In a 20 minute span, I lost count of the "WTF" is that!

And add the sound of the Flows.......Way cool drive. And it happens all the time!!! GOTTA LUV IT!!!!!!

I had a '97 Grand Marquis I gave to my mother (That's right! I love my mom!) when I bought the Marauder and I borrow it from her when I drop Quicksilver off for warranty perfections. I absolutely hate to drive that old wallowing hog of a land yacht! And to think I used to enjoy driving that old '97! I always start off thinking, "Is something wrong with the suspension? Oh, that's right, I'm driving the pig."

What a car! Had mine since May 20 last year. Ever get those cramps in your face from laughing at a good comedians routine? It still gets like that sometimes. :D
