Ahhh... the international language of drag strips. What does a gallon of race gas cost over there?

Hey Fahad! Long time no talk! You know, you should head on over to the states like you were planning on! Or at least I hope that is still working out. Cooler weather and all...and cheaper gas! 104 octane over here in SC would cost me about 5 a gallon.

Nice car by the way. I'm loving it!

Hope things are going well for you in general.

That Lumina SS... if I'm not mistaken, that's essentially the car we got as the new GTO.

OK, the first timeslip says "Rumble in the dessert". What kind of dessert was it? Hot fudge sundae? Cheesecake?? Just how big is this dessert anyway? :D

I don't know about a Lumina SS but the GTO is sold in Australia as a Holden Monaro.

Fahad - Nice looking car, and moves quite well, too  Bet it surprises a few people when you line up, huh?

Close, but it's based off the Holden Commodore (http://www.holden.com.au/www-holden/action/modeloverview?modelid=4009), which is a slightly larger 4-door. 325hp, and only 3350lbs make for a quick car...

Thanks all for the compliments, glad that you liked it,

Sorry I forgot to mention that the Lumina SS that I raced, is the same as the US 2004 GTO and it's automatic.

we have them in four door sedan and two door coupe, and they only come in auto transmission.

here are pics of similar car to the one I raced

the track is in Bahrain, 300 mile south of Kuwait.

there is a race on the 27th and 28th of this month.

here is the website for the track www.bahraindragracingclub.com

the website is new, but it will have all the info about the track and races,

hope your friend could come for the next race this month.

Thanks,

Windows Media Player always gives me an error msg whenever I try to view &/or right click & save any of Fahads' vids.

They won't download for me right ...

The download window dissapears almost immediately ... so I don't think they are even being saved.

My brother was in Bahrain for quite a while. He mentioned gas was *incredibly* cheap over there. I wonder why race gas would be so expensive by comparison?
