I hate being the one to come up woth an idea, and then be to lazy to try it....But this is to good to let go. I noticed at the washington car show, u can now get GM with grills that have both Merc logo's on the grill as well as on a small thing sticking up, like old lincons had, sorta redundant...but what if u deleted the grill emblem, and even painted the grill black, leaving only the chrome logo sticking up? Maybe to tacky for some, but for others it may be just right. Just a thought, and I may just take me a visit to a FLM dealer near me to get a secound grill to see what it looks like.

I also saw that same hood ornament on the Grand Marquis at the Auto Show. Having both the ornament and the grill badge seemed redundant to me. :D If I recall correctly, someone here has already implemented your suggestion.

BTW -- I thought the angle on the hood ornament was too severe (i.e. looking like it was falling over). However, that must be for some kinda safety issue.

That thing did kinda look fallin over....I was there the last day, so I figured it had just been mangled in all the viewing days. Sorry I missed u guys there BTW!
