I purchased my fender Marauder emblems last time they were offered here. They have looked great since I put them on but I've been noticing what appears to be water stains on them. Has this happened to anyone else? Oh, what about the flag, does it go towards the door of towards the front of the car?

The flags should appear to be waving to the rear of the car.
As far as those water stains. Yes, and I thought I was alone on this one. Mine are so bad after a year, I bought new ones last fall. The one appears almost white, and is actually quite embarrassing.

I noticed this on mine too. I buffed the water stains out, then I applied a couple coats of wax on the emblems. Now when I'm done washing the car i just take a soft towel or diaper and lightly buff them. So far, so good! :)

MartyO and I created the first batch of fender badges two years ago. Inspired by the 1963 Marauder fender badge, the flag points towards the front of the vehicle. I suppose it doesn't matter, what ever looks good for you.

Is it supposed to be one badge per car or two per car ?
One badge, the flag points toward front of car when installed on passenger side. If you install two identical badges then one has to point flag towards rear, unless they are sold set of 2, left side and right side.....I think....:dunno:

I've had the water spots too, you just need to use some elbow grease to get it off.

Are these badges still available? I would like to buy a set.

Happened to me too. Was afraid I'd done it to myself, because I tend to frequent automated carwashes, and the stains look like soap that hasn't come off...Had occasion to talk to MartyO over the phone some months back. It sounds like the batch before this most recent set mighta not been laminated. It's been a while, so I don't remember the whole text of the conversation...Doesn't really bother me too much. My car's a driver, and drivers typically get pretty weathered anyway. When the time comes, and I get my repaint done, I'll take the opportunity to make over the badges too...probably try a (very) light coat of marine-grade varnish.

You might try applying Zoops chrome polish to them. I've had good results on the parts on my older Mustang that I have applied. The water sheets off without leaving any type of remains including soap residue (from my results).

That was going to be my question, (in the event you haven't installed the badges yet). What best to apply to protect them? Zoops?
